Chamberlain College- Phoenix
Hello! I am starting at Chamberlain next week.. I have to take Anatomy (the equivalent to the bio202). I also have NR222 and the success class for my first session. Session B , I will have College Algebra. From what I've read, I should do the Algrebra at home instead of on campus? I truly hate this class and have failed it before at PVCC..its that darn "My Math Lab"! But school is pretty far for me to drive..if unnecessary. Also, how is the Bio? Thanks for any input! I am excited to start

Hey! Good Luck!! I hope we both get in with no more waiting! :)

Oh I know, I've spoken with my advisor and since I was pre-pharm before, I have almost everything except a stats class and it all transfers over! :)

Oh, I have about 4+ years of pre-req's under my belt, so I would enter the program and probably go straight into the nursing curriculum!

Thanks! I am definitely trying to be patient, it's very hard! I do know that the best thing will come from the committee's decision, so I just have to wait it out and be positive :)

Yes, I am applying to October as well! Pleeease let me know what feedback they give you! You should know at the end of this month? I was told the next meeting is July 17th, then they start holding meetings every other week.. I hate waiting!! A friend of mine is already accepted to the October class. And it looks like you and I have almost identical scores.. so if you get positive feedback, then I will feel better! Let me know and good luck!

Hey Amanda, my scores are in the same area as you, I think my gpa is like 2.9. But they put me on hold (they may/may not do the same to you) so they can wait for more applicants to come in. My application was one of the only ones they saw at their last meeting. From what I understand, if there's like 20 other people with grades much better than mine, they will most likely get in, and I'll either get put on hold again or rejected? I thought I would find out last Friday, but now I am on hold until the next acceptance meeting (July 17) , and may or may not find out then!! When are you applying, and is it for the October session?

Hey, thanks! Your scores are very high, I really do believe I am in the "average" range. I am higher than the minimum requirements, but not above average. My A2 scores are right where the average is for accepted students.. The person who told me I am on hold said they need to wait for more applicants so they can see where I stand, and basically accept above average people first. It's just hard to wait so long!! I want this so bad! Congrats on starting this July!

Just a quick question for those of you accepted- what range was your GPA in? My application was reviewed yesterday for the October class and put on hold, which basically means I have to wait another month till the next meeting and they re-review my application. Apparently its in the average range, yet my advisor told me I have great numbers! I was wondering if anyone else had their application held as well, or how your Gpa's /A2 tests were? :confused:Thanks!!

BIO 201 at Rio Salado
msiegel- I haven't gotten my grade yet for the 202 final. I'm scared. I studied a lot, but didn't feel too confident on the final! I took 201 at a community college and thought it was easier, I think anything online - especially a&p is going to be much harder! I'll let you know the grade once I get it... :uhoh21:

BIO 201 at Rio Salado
I am in BIO 202 with Rio right now.. cramming hard core for the final. I got a 50 on the midterm (and yes, I studied),. I have gotten high A's on tests, quizzes, all lab quizzes/practicals and she seems to love my essays, gives me 100's on all of them as well. However, you must maintain a 60% average on the midterm and final, regardless of anything else. I feel like just taking the final now and failing. I cannot possibly cram anymore information into my head. I WOULD NOT recommend this class to anyone! Can anyone recommend help for the 202 Final!? I have to take it in a week

Actually, I do have one more question :) Where do you do your clinicals? I know that Grand Canyon University does theirs through St. Joe's, but I can't seem to find any info on Chamberlains website. Please let me know any info , I'm curious! Thanks!
