Hi Cohort 25! I'm cohort 24 and currently in our second class. Don't worry about not having any medical experience but definitely brush up on your anatomy and physiology before starting Health Assessment! It will make your life easier!

ExPharmaGirl, Did you buy all of the 5 books for Heath Assessment or just the required books? I kind of don't want to waste money on any books or guides that we won't use... I you could let me know as soon as you get a change so I can get my books ordered! Thanks!

Wow... did u prepare ahead of time for this class? I work full time at the moment butI'm switching down to around 24 hours a week. But then I have a 6 months old baby boy which is like a full time job. Luckily my mom lives with us. It's gonna be tough but doable I guess... Somehow... :/

I'm glad we met happymommy! At least I know someone :) Oh and I did that library tutorial... Late at night... And I absolutely failed I was reading about some preliminary test...it's on one of the million papers they send us. I have no clue what it is about :/

ORIENTATION TOMORROW! :) Does anyone know what that preliminary test is all about? ...and this is kind of silly but are they serious with the business attire? (I run around in business attire all week... Would be nice to have a day off ) See u all tomorrow cohort 24!

Im in cohort 24 starting in October. My classes are scheduled til the end of next year and the only time we are off is from december 18th til january 3rd or something like that and then only one week in the summer... Its the week before 4th of July... Not much vacation time during the program

Do you know where edwards cinema is? Sbux is in the shopping center across the street from the movies. There is a Albertsons, home depot etc... Let me know if u need the exact address.

That Works for me. I will have to bring my son along though. No one to watch him. We can either meet in the middle or do RB since thats gonna be our second home anyway :) I don't mind driving anywhere...

Rachel - sorry I was on vaca and didn't get to reply to your post... Tutubalu - I'm getting pretty nervous too :) I only have to choose my uniform and thats it! I'm gonna start reading the books this weekend :) Happymommy - I was thinking maybe meet up at a starbucks for an hour or so just to get to know each other. Hopefully some of us end up with the same class schedule so we can stick together on the group work stuff... I work every day until 5:30pm so either after work or anytime on a saturday? Lets see what works best for all of us that want to meet.

Hopefully it will all work out somehow with the schedule :) I can't wait either!

Tutubalu, Sign on to the student portal on nu.edu and view your class schedule. Click on view books in the last colum (for the first class) but don't buy them from that website. Way to $$$. I'm pretty much done with all the stuff. I'm going for my drug screen on Monday and I just applied for the malpractice insurance. you live in pq right?

October Cohort :) Have you guys ordered your books for the first class yet? Found some good deals on half.com ... if anybody has a cheaper offer please share! How do you guys feel about meeting up before orientation to get to know each other???

OCTOBER LADIES (and G's maybe?) !!!! Classes are scheduled! I'm sooooo excited! Looking forward to meeting some of you! It looks like some of us are in the same boat... I'm working fulltime... I have 4 months old son... Lots of things in live are about to change! I hope we can all stick together and support each other and make it through school in no time!
