New student here at Hondros
Just to clarify, this school doesn't allow someone to start an RN program right away? You have do the LPN program for 44 weeks, THEN start the 66 week ADN program?

any RN programs in the country with no wait?
My girlfriend is considering an RN program. Unfortunately, in our preliminary search, we haven't found any that she can start this fall. Are there any in the nation that have zero to little wait? Or local CC has a 2 year wait. Thanks in advance. Anywhere in the country is fine.(USA)

why do you care if a student misses class?
Even if she didn't have a ton on her plate, and her missing class was the result of doing blow off of male strippers on a whim, I still wouldn't care. It's one thing to have a cool understanding/"relationship" with your classmates. But this stuff is too much. It's a just a collection of random people in career training together, not a BFF forever group party. Those peeps should mind their business.

Questions on random drug testing, specifically marijuana. All countries
I smoke marijuana. Often. It's helpful for me in numerous ways. Sparing the irrelevant details of the medicinal benefits I gain from the ingestion of this plants flowers, random drug testing is a concern for me going forward as an RN. I have no problem quitting for a month here and there, as I've been forced to already for entrance into the school nursing program as well as clinicals. Pre employment screening is not something I'm concerned with. So, what is the policy on randoms where you work? Are there any fields of nursing, generally speaking, that do not randomly drug test? Is this different in Canada, or any nation? Further, I specify marijuana in the thread title because of "medical states." My understanding is that even in California, where I can get a state legit script, employers still drug test for marijuana, and can terminate regardless of prescription. It sucks that my preferred course of medicating is still in the draconian pseudo science world of politicking, but I don't want to switch to some god awful pill, yet I don't want this to effect my chosen career path, either. Am I effectively stuck? Thanks a lot for your time. I've been lurking a while, this place is great!
