Carolinapooh, Congrats! I just found out I was accepted into the Air Force myself. I will also be stationed at Wilford Hall in the NICU and going to COT in March! I was wondering if you could give me some in sight on everything there and what to expect? If you could pm me that would be great. I don't think I have posted enough to pm you. THX!!!

Should I join the Air Force with a family?
I am quite aware of the fact that I will be deployed. I've done my research and have thought long and hard about this. Sorry about your loss, but I'm quite sure that your friend was not a nurse.

Should I join the Air Force with a family?
Oh that's great! Did you just get your PNP? My goal is to become a PNP. As far as the forms the recruiter gave me everything to fill out. So I'm not sure what you should do. I will be working in the NICU so my choice's were limited. I choose Travis and Lackland as my first two. I was also looking into the Navy, but like you I always had the desire to go into the Air Force since high school. Best of luck with your decision!

Should I join the Air Force with a family?
Yes, I'm in the process right know. I still need to have my interview with a nurse. I've done everything else. How about you? For me the pros of joining out weight the cons. Good luck!

Should I join the Air Force with a family?
I appreciate the response. What made you choose the Navy over the AF? I also considered the Navy. Thanks for your inside input on the military life. I'm glad to see there are other people with kids and a family even considering joining the service. Thanks!

Should I join the Air Force with a family?
Hello, I have been a nurse for over three years. I have experience in OB and a level III NICU. I am married with 3 kids who are between the ages of 11 and 3. I am 31 years old. I am contemplating joining the Air Force. I have meet with my health care recruiter on several occasions. He said I would work in the NICU. My only concern is joining the Air Force with children. My husband is very supportive of me. My other family and friends think I am crazy for even considering joining. Can someone who is in the military give me their honest opinion. This is something I have always wanted to do. I feel If I don't do it now I never will!
