  1. You have nutrition essentials 5th edition? Email me at [email protected]
  2. I can't find the "nutrition essentials for nursing practice" anyone else having trouble? anyone selling it?
  3. hey I still haven't purchased my books, you? I'm waiting till pay day this friday...
  4. Okay so St. Vincent's had a great reputation from what I heard prior to it being acquired. I am starting there this Fall, so if I see there is complete chaos...I might have to go elsewhere in the Spring, do you guys think it's a good idea for me to apply to other schools for Spring, will the few courses I take a St. Paul's transfer over to CUNY schools or SUNY schools? Also who is starting this Fall, anyone out there?? orientation is August 27th, I am anxious to start.
  5. also St. Paul's appears to be under education affiliates, does anyone know what they are?
  6. so the school will not have an Associate Degree Nursing Program that is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)?? How long does it take for the NLNAC to make this decision? For the Fall semester we will be in the Whitestone location...since this is not a permanent location, i doubt they will review school during the fall. ughhh. I'm concerned that when I graduate I won't be in a school that is nationally accredited
  7. Hi, So I am going to start full time day classes this fall at St. Paul's, I live in Manhattan my commute to the SVCMC location was about 1 hour and 15mins on the MTA train and bus. Now that the location is in lake success, I checked on hop stop and in terms of public transportation it says it will take 2 hours to get to the school. Which is not too bad, Hopstop suggested I take the LIRR to great neck and the N25 bus to 4 Nevada Drive...Anyone know of any other option? I am thinking, I might as well rent out a room closer to the school, or get my license and drive there.
  8. It is called St. Paul's now?? that concerns me, will employers in the future understand this is still St. Vincent's. What about the quality of education, will it change now that they are owned by Education Affiliates. I don't understand why when we had to put in our deposit they did not inform of us of this.
  9. I'm starting nursing school at St. Vincent's in Queens this fall 2009. I am looking for a a part-time job, because nursing school will be full time during the day. Anyone have any ideas on what jobs would be ideal, what could I apply for, and what has worked out for you? thanks any tips and suggestions during my job search would help alot!
  10. Thanks so much for your response, I feel more at ease knowing that I made a smart choice. I have already sent in my deposit and received a financial aid information packet today. I am so excited to start this Fall..
  11. well there is the deposit, did you already pay that? I still haven't so i don't know anything about the information packet. I'm paying this week! anyone know what month they usually do the orientation?
  12. Hi, I also got into St. Vincent's Queens Fall 2009, I did not bother applying to Beth Israel. I was wondering if any of you are concerned with the possibility that St. Vincent's may close down or have to change their name due to how some hospitals have been closing down. I only have a few days to decide, deposits are due mid-april. Any thoughts or concerns anyone else is having?
