Thanks so much for posting this... it does give me hope!! I am scheduled to take my test Saturday and I feel like I've barely studied. I've been so busy planning my wedding, training someone at my previous job, and spending time with my fiance because he is only here 2 weeks out of the month because of his job. This past week I've been doing Hurst review and right now I'm doing lots of questions but I just really started to buckle down for it this week. I studied ALOT over a month ago for HESI but I feel like I've forgotten everything!! Congrats on the good pop-up! I hope I get to say that Saturday : )

Hello everyone... CONGRATS to everyone who got in!! I am in my 2nd semester of nursing at North Harris. We didn't get a packet with our acceptance letter, we got the packets at orientation. To everyone that is on the alternate list... you have a chance of getting in!!

The three books are: Fundamentals of nursing, and then the 2 taylor clincal nursing skills books. One is a nursing process approach and the other is the skills checklist. Hope this helps. I have been pricing books and it seems like amazon is the cheapest so far. If anyone finds somewhere cheaper... please post the website on here.

Hello everyone... I was wondering... does anyone know if all the whaley and wong books (the 4 hockenberry books listed) and if all the Medical surgical nursing books (the 3 Ignatavicius and Workman books) come in a bundle at the bookstore? I have been looking on amazon and different sites and some of them come together.... but not all of them. I was just wondering if its possible to buy them in a bundle... that would probaly be cheaper.

Hi... I would like to be in the study group. I am also pretty shy at first. I got my CPR certification about a year ago so its only good for another year. I think the only shot I need is the Tdap... the others I had when I was younger and I had titers drawn to make sure I was still immune. I still need to get a physical though. I am taking pharmacology online through kingwood in summer I. I also didnt want to take it in the summer but I want to get everything out of the way that I can before the really hard stuff begins!

So does anyone know what the drop rate is at North Harris? I applied to another school near where I live.... but their drop rate is pretty bad. They always start with 100 students and this semester they are graduating with 20something... so Im just wondering how it is at North Harris?

Jeneecw: I'm not sure... I was wondering the same thing... I'm assuming we only get one letter but I"m going to call Monday or Tuesday to make sure before I send my intent to enroll. Ahhh I'm so excited.

I got into North Harris also my 2nd choice with an 11.23!! Congrats to everyone!

I have a question... I put Montgomery as my first choice and North Harris as my second. I am pretty sure that I wont get into Montgomery because I had an 11.25 and after reading some of the posts on the message boards it looks like you at least need an 11.4.... so my question is does it matter the way you put the schools in order on the applications? Also... will you get 2 seperate letters or just one letter? Thanks... and good luck to everyone!!

I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything from Montgomery or North Harris yet? Letters are supposed to go out this week.... I'm so nervous.

I called Montgomery this morning and I talked to the health careers secretary.... he said they are mailing the letters out next week.

Hi... I'm new to this board. I applied to Montgomery College as my first choice and North Harris as my second. My score was an 11.25. Maybe they will go lower than a 11.44 this year at Montgomery. Good Luck to everyone!!
