Hello is anyone looking into getting into Olivet Nazarene for the ABSN program for 2018? I am stuck between going to chamberlain or Olivet Nazarene University. Do one need to have all the prerequisites done in the school like chamberlain or you need to finish it before getting admitted into the school.? Thanks.

Hello, they kept sending me an email stating that my transcripts was undelivered because of different reason but basically you need to fill out exactly the way it is on your official transcripts the course code, course name etc so it matches their sample. If you call them they would not be able to specify what is going on. I eventually had to talk to the supervisors after correcting it several times and it looked ok only to just keep getting the email but they eventually got it verified because I had to send an email to Emily too. Just make sure you fill it in properly and call to confirm and follow up on it. They usually send emails if there is a problem. Hope these helps. All the best!!

Congratulations if they are reviewing your application then you should be good. Do they usually use your graduate GPA towards the program? What is your undergraduate GPA? I also noticed some interviews where done mid October so we would see what happens after the review. Mine just got verified few minutes ago.

That is really nice you won't believe that am still waiting for the verification this is really so annoying I applied on 9/7 and am still waiting. Well I plan on giving them a call today but they would not let you talk to their supervisor. I am so sure you are in good shape now.. let me know when you are called for the interview am sure that is what is next. Thanks for the update!

Also did your GPA come out to be what you expected?

I actually just got an email that I did not fill in the transcripts right but this was after 3 weeks but they said they would still put me in the same line for the Verification. I actually had to keep calling for them to allow me edit it. I applied since the 7th of September and am still waiting. Will refill the transcripts and see how long it will take to get the GPA. Hopefully fast enough! I guess it may have also being because you applied before that must added to it. All the best!!

Yes I have, am waiting for nursingcas to verify it then I can find out what my GPA is with the school's calculation. It takes 2-4 weeks they say!

Hello, is there a reason why you want to retake your GRE? Well we just praying that we don't have too many people with higher GPA which would make it more competitive also they really do not use the prerequisites GPA but they advice you get mostly As and Bs.

So we need to pray not to have such competitive mates! Praying we all get in. You really don't get to find out what your GPA would be until almost last minute which makes it scary! I hope all goes well with us all. I thought if you meet the requirements you are good I didn't know you have to be screened to. I am sure prayer will resolve it all. I am highly favored!! @nicunursetobe thanks for the thorough explanation of the GPA but I see you got the minimum score, your GPA was on point so why were you not accepted? Is there something we need to watch out for.. do you still still need to be uncomfortable after you have all the minimum requirements? so now you don't have to much to do you should be on top of it. Do they still call you for interview if they would not take you. Thx

Awesome! Am sure with your degree in English you should get a higher score in the English part on the GRE. Well I got the Kaplan book in the library to study for the GRE there is also a guy on YouTube that make the GRE very easy will try and get the link for you! All the best!

@2ndcareermsn I feel you on the MAT it is very verse and you can not study hard enough for ( not to discourage anyone) , but a lot of people prefer to do the GRE I did the MAT and it was heart aching! I think I will lean more on the GRE( my opinion), well all the best in your classes. What was your undergraduate degree and also so you know Athens is very competitive and they take less students. I believe you can still apply without being done with your prerequisites and your MAT/GRE score! All the best! See we all in the same boat! Any medical experiences for you?

For the GRE I made 280 and MAT I got 390. All the best though! Was planning to pass it before the application opens but I guess not now! I have to study more and I need time to do that I want to get it over with.

Hey, I actually just got an email about applying for the program. I super nervous about standardized test as well but I tried the MAT but it was harder than I expected(not to discourage you) I think GRE would be better if I plan doing it again after 2 trials first time I did not study and second time I studied too hard and became nervous and of course I got a higher score on the first than second. So I thought I better try the MAT but guess what it is so hard to study and cram everything. GRE is more of the same idea of questions so with more practice I think I should be better of with it. I need to start working on my essay too and the GRE is what has been delaying me. Well all the best! Hopefully we would be able to get in for the early interview. I guess we can find out what the GPA when we apply! My prayers are with you!!

Hello, it's nice hearing from you, thanks for setting up the group for 2018. Am sure more people will show up as soon as they are aware of it. It's also going to be nice if we can set one up on Facebook. To tell you a little bit about myself, I am going to start out by saying that one of the best thing that happened to me was when I came across this program. I have been in the nursing field for over 10 years and I wanted something that would keep me in the same field. I actually have a bachelors in sociology and I tried getting into different schools for either LPN or RN or BSN but for some reason it just was not working out. So finding this program is a blessing it gives me a better opportunity to learn more in my career. I actually had my undergraduate from outside the country and I am done with my pe requirements I only need to take the MAT/GRE and am hoping to apply for the program as soon as I can. I would also want to find out if anyone needs a roommate I sure would like to have one. I also live in Chicago and I would be relocating just for this program. Am sure this group would help answer most of the questions. Thank you for giving it a thought. Looking forward to more post! September is almost here we need to start encouraging ourselves .
