:wink2: Hello everyone! I am newly registered but have been reading forums for a couple of months. I waited to hear if I made it into the RN program because I felt like I would have more to talk about. I have really enjoyed reading different threads on here. I love hearing and talking to other pre-nursing students and beyond. Looking forward to getting to know everyone. My story is: I am in North Carolina, I am 37, married with 3 teenagers, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and 1 bird. I started our local community college in Spring semester 2007. I will begin the ADN program in Fall semester, Aug. 2009. Actually just got acceptance letter one week ago. Are there anyone else on here in NC or close to Charlotte? I would love to here from anyone who has graduated or currently going to Gaston College in Gaston County. Anyways, I am so excited and of course I hate the wait. This is the moment I have waited for. But, I do have some concerns that has really got me worried. I work full time now and my job is pretty stable and good benefits. I work for the county social services. The pay is fair but so much better than nothing. One concern is that I will have to quit my job come August and we are not real confident about my husbands job. But, there's no way that I can turn down entering the program. That would be another year and half wait and still have to go through quitting my job for the two year program. Wooohhh! Decisions, decisions. It literally keeps me nausious. -Not sure how to spell that last word. Sorry! I know you all can't see the future and tell me what to do. Just venting and maybe there's others here in the same shoes. Great Site!!!!!!!
