  1. My reading comprehension was a 79 and 97 for math. Go check your inbox.
  2. By the way, I am also in the first semester...our president of c/o 2012 also goes on this forums too...
  3. I got in with a 3.4 gpa in both cumulative and prereq courses. My NET composite was 88%. I did not have statistics or FSHN completed at the time of application. Good luck in getting in:)
  4. Yes, the essay is for the orientation because the email says to bring your essay and the self assessment. No biggy for me, I just typed a one page about what I thought about the nursing profession, my background in the medical field, and why I chose to be a nurse. I think it's for us to share at the orientation.
  5. That was exactly what I was planning. Thanks for your input.
  6. I was surprised when that lady said there were that much applicants... btw, remember when we were introducing ourselves and that one guy said, "My name is ___, and I am an alcoholic." I was like 'whoa, was he just kidding or was he for real?' Did you all pick your clinical sites?...I chose Halawa, Pohai, and Queens. Does anyone know where to park at Queens? because Michael said that it's tough looking for parking there.
  7. My gpa was a 3.4 for both pre-req and cumulative and a NET score of 88. I also had pharm completed at the time of application, but I did not take stats or fshn yet.
  8. The packet contains mostly info on health clearances...and forms to sign. First orientation is on May 8th.
  9. I live right by waikele in the Waipahu area... I'm sure you guys would get in...Maybe you guys will get it tomorrow.
  10. It would drive me crazy if I only made it as an alternate...But it would be shocking if I get accepted because my gpa ain't that high.
  11. wow...only 108 applicants? I thought it would be more. How did you find out?
  12. I also heard about the budget cuts... I think it was on the news two wks ago. If the budget cuts will happen, they were gonna layoff temporary teachers and so on, but nothing was said specifically about the nursing program.
  13. Hey Silentaddiction, did you ask if they sent out all the rejection letters?
  14. thanks for the update! Now I'm really getting nervous...
  15. My bad...The new admission requirements is in effect for fall 2010 and after...I also saw the "general elective and DP courses" as chem 151/152 and it does seem confusing. Wow...there must be a lot of applicants since they're really busy...I need to bring my gpa up and reapply for spring 2010 cause I don't think I'm gonna get in for fall '09...
  16. I called the student services of nursing and the lady said that letters may be mailed by the end of April. Btw, Just to let you people know, the admission requirements for spring 2010 and after has changed. I just checked the uh manoa nursing website and they changed the acceptable nursing entrance exams, which is down to only the NLN. They won't be doing the NET anymore which sucks cause the NLN is harder, and I only scored a composite of 111!!!!
  17. Does anyone know how many applicants there were for fall '09? Just wondering...
  18. Hey everyone, I also applied for Fall '09. My gpa is not that great, though my NET score is pretty good. I am applying with a 3.4 for both pre-req and cumulative gpa, and a NET score of 88%. For everyone above, I know all of you will get accepted since your guys gpa's are great. If I don't get in, I guess I'll have to retake two classes:( since we are only allowed to retake up to 6 credits. Good luck everyone, Hope to hear from you guys soon.
