  1. I get to use my vacation and sick days for my clinicals. I'm pretty happy with this outcome, because I get three days off instead of two... :)
  2. Thank you.. I'm going to speak with her today! If she's not in the office, I will have to wait until Monday.. The bad part is these women I work with, well I don't think they want anyone else to move on to something better. There's a lot of jealousy in the office and stuff like that.
  3. Don't be scared! Once you start school things will come back to you. I hope your husband comes around. I understand about the issues part. I don't think divorce or getting on welfare is the answer to your problems. That's my personal opinion. You can do it. To the poster who said to get a digital recording device!! Thanks You! I'll be trying that out myself. :rcgtku:
  4. I start the pn program at Logansport Ivy Tech August 24. I was so happy to learn I got in. I'm very excited. Everything seems to be falling into place except...my job. I've been at the same job for almost 6 years. I am a city employee working the midnight shift Sat. through Wed. I almost never call in sick, actually I called in once this year. Anyway, my clinical day is Tuesday at 6:30 a.m. my shift ends at 7:00 a.m. My boss will not try to work with me here. I asked to have my days off changed, come in early so I can leave an hour early, anything. BUT they won't even get back to me on the subject. I know many people quit their job when they start the program, but I am a single mother of two children. I cannot afford to do this. I almost feel like giving up and dropping out but I've worked so hard to get to this point. It's really not fair. I don't know what to do or where to turn. It would take me at least 30 minutes to get from my job to the clinical site. Any suggestions or anyone in my situation??

Yes, I'm pretty sure they offer those classes online. I took mine in the class room wish I had of taken them online. That would have saved me time and gas money.. oh well it's done and over.
  6. I'm in Indiana. I studied for days, even went to testpreview website and done the practice tests over and over. I've heard a lot of people say the Kaplan book helped, thank you for letting me know. I'm going to get the Kaplan book as soon as I can. I'm scheduled to take the test again next month so I will have plenty of time to study. Hopefully, I'll pass and move on with my goals.
  7. I took my TEAS yesterday... I didn't pass and I'm very upset over it. I think I kind of just gave up right in the middle of the test. I feel stupid for not passing. I know I'm not the only person in the world but it still stinks. Hopefully, I can pass it in time for June. I really had my heart set on making the April deadline. I should have taken the TEAS last month--..
