  1. I started 09/03, so I am about a month into classes and we start clinicals on the 19th. I am doing awesome and barely studying. How come this is not harder? I have at least 3 quizzes a day and 3 tests every week. Loads of reading and studying. I just thought it would be more tough. I mean I have never done anything related to this before, but it's making me happy! I am not complaining, just wondering if anyone else feels the same? edit: I go to school M-F 730a-230p (full time)
  2. Thanks everyone! tuiton now is $5500 plus books, uniforms, etc. I am very excited to start! I wish it was free now. Notthereyet, who did you submit the essay to?
  3. How did you two end up paying for the program. Did you apply for any loans and if so which ones?
  4. thanks! i started looking over med term but i need to brush up on my math, it's my biggest weakness. that's not a bad price for books. how many people did your class start off with, and how many graduated? I heard a lot of people drop out in the beginning because of the amount of work and stress. I work part-time in a retail job which has a lot of down time allowing me to be able to study so work and school shouldn't be a problem hopefully. did you work while going to school?
  5. i was just recently accepted and was wondering if anyone had any advice or answers to my questions! is there a pre-nursing class taken over the summer if you start in september? around how much did you pay for books, where is the best place to buy them from? when do you have to wear the uniform? what are the instructors like? are they known to give pop quizzes almost everyday? overall how was your experience? and lastly, is anyone else starting in the fall? i got my acceptance letter, i am just waiting for the orientation!
  6. The test was super easy. The math was where I struggled. The amount of time given and the questions were tough because math is my weakness. Just grab the study guide from ATI I believe it's only $50. This will help you so much. Good luck!
  7. Great! I am starting a LPN school in NJ come this September, what school are you attending? This is making me even more nervous then I was before!
  8. I start in September and I am super nervous! I will be working part-time but I can also study most of the time where I work so it might not be so bad. Good luck to everyone!
  9. Thanks everyone for the advice I am taking it all in and going to be studying a lot!
  10. I am terrible at math so I am going to be brushing up on my math soon, thanks for the advice!
  11. I just got accepted into the Monmouth County Vocational School for LPN, I start in September. I bought a book called "Medical terms for nurses" and also an Anatomy & Physiology made easy book. I was just wondering if anyone has any other recommendations since I have around five months before the program even starts. I would like to get as much of a heads up as I can. Thanks!
  12. I start in September, I am super nervous from what I am reading I should probably start studying now! Any books that anyone could recommend? thanks!
  13. I just got accepted into the program today! I guess I should start brushing up on everything sounds like it is going to be a lot of work, anyone else starting this coming september (2009)?
