Yeah you can go into block two without it, but you have to score a 800 to get into block three with your LPN license. Its funny because the school I initially applied to made me take the hesi for entrance into the program and I did better on it than I did on the NETs (the time thing got me on the reading comp section)! But yah it saves us a lot of time on the waitlist, assuming you have your prequesites done within 6 months of graduation, I only have A&P and BIO left so I'm hoping to take it through correspondence during MSC.

Unfortunately I have came to the same realization, they told me that I was completely approved then I got a call friday reminding me my payments due, well if I thought it wasn't covered through loans I would have made sure it was paid sometime ago. I am just happy I'm in and not on the RN waitlist:), and we are guaranteed a spot assuming we apply within 6 months of graduation (with prequesites completed and adequate HESI's) directly into third semester of the rn program, so that speeds are process of quite a bit. I just hope that I don't get too frustrated (school hasn't even started)!!!

Hey, When did they change the start date, that's very weird. I wonder why I wasn't notified!?!! I guess I'm confused, why would they change a start date without telling all of the student?

I am actually kind of surprised that it is hard to find a job in that field. But I guess with the economy in shambles it makes sense ppl are cutting back on those types of expenses.

i understand that...i moved to arizona a little over two yeas ago and had to take a significant pay cut. They just pay less overall, except really in the medical field:).

I know, right? I just talked to FA, and your right, I do not know why I got confused. I am really not prepared for $1700, but I guess I going to have to figure it out, I really do not want to delay starting. What is your BS in?

That worried me! I should probably go back and double check. What I meant was even though you applied online, who have to deliver your w2 and 1040 form to msc, sometimes marriage license, spouse tax docs, or parents. I thought that all I had to do was apply online, I learned the hard way my first year of college.

I turned in my W2 and 1040 federal tax doc back in january, so they told me my funding was appeared. I wonder why it would make a difference? You cannot even get a student loan to cover it? I think that's what everyone is talking about with FA.

When did you start turning in your FA 6+3.4n after we found out?

ideally, my goal is very similar to yours although I have a husband who was injured and now suffers from a tramatic brain injury, so a shorter program would be ideal. Then work my way into a lpn bridge to bsn (u of phx, preferably) but of course that means getting into MSC. Well now we only have a week left. Let me know when you get your letter either way. I hope we both get into the may class!!!

mom-of-3, do you have a back up plan, program wise? If so, what are some of the other options? And who have you applied to? Good Luck, I guess we will be hearing shortly!! (You've applied from the may 09 start date, correct?)

Yes, I have already gotten the imm., CPR, physical, etc. and turned my packet into Anthony like 3 weeks ago. Although, and I'm not sure if it is just that the program is over loaded, I never seem to get a straight answer from them. Hopefully it is enough, I wanted to retake my NET test, although with the 60 retake requirement MCCD puts on it, it was not possibly for this application period. I was not able to even complete the reading section, but from what I hear that is pretty standard.

Great!! Thanks for your help. Will you be returning to MSC this fall? And also did you have problems getting FA approval. I have been trying to get everything in and done, in the hope of getting an acceptance letter next week, but it seems like a failing system in a sense because they dont want to work on the funding aspect of it, until you have been accepted into a specific program. Any info you can offer would be great!!

Did either of you guys get in yet?? If so what block are you in?

I'm hoping to receive an answer within the week about entrance into the may class it is like waiting to give birth, slow and painful. The NET scores is what theyre basing there decision on, but they wont tell you anymore than 50 for math, 60 for reading. Anybody in the program now?? What were your NET scores??? Thanks

oh, yes i have applied. waiting for a response!?!! My NET comp score was 84 (which is all they look at, reading and math). Yours?

And may I ask what you're NET score are/were at the time acceptance? It is really frustrating not knowing what it takes to be in the top 40 (or some relative idea)!! Thanks and good look with graduatation. I'm hoping to be accepted into the may program for 09, so i have my fingers crossed.
