  1. I think it depends where you live in PA and what specialty you want to work. As far as LPN's I know that several hospitals I have worked in, in southeastern PA/Philadelphia area are or have phased out LPN's. I would suggest you check the job listings in your area. There are many scholarships and online programs to bridge to an RN, it may end up being very beneficial for you.
  2. I am trying to find current information regarding the Stonybrook University Adult NP program. I have to send in my decision if I wish to attend. My dilemma is I live in PA and not many people have heard of Stonybrook. I am however familiar with Stonybrook because I grew up on LI. Is it really distance learning or will I have to go to the island more than the 3 days? I will have to continue to work full time so is it possible to complete this program? My other option is Drexel University Acute Care NP Program but that program will not start for 6 months and costs $10,000 more. Any information will be helpful. Thankyou.
