  3. I totally agree about too many chiefs. Isn't it amazing that , generally speaking, none of the policy makers could actually do the jobs if their lives depended on it? I love a business major telling me how my ER needs to operate when he wouldn't know the difference between an MI and a UTI.
  4. Hey gang! I have a dilemma and need some help. I have been and ER nurse for fourteen years and for the most part have really loved it. It has suited my personality well, which I suppose tells you a lot about me if you have worked in ER too! The problem is that this job I have loved so much for so long is really not the same any more. It makes me so sad to think about leaving, but I am afraid that my cynisism prevents me from being the kind of nurse I want to be and have been in the past. So..... where do ER nurses go after the ER and find the same kind of fulfillment? Thanks guys, I know this is kind of a downer, I just needed your imput.
