  1. abnihon- Yes, I believe you do have to wait till it says "Delivery Successful" before you try it. Once that happens you can go ahead and try to register. If at this point you get the popup it means you have passed. Good luck!!:wink2:
  2. I would definitely recommend Kaplan (the live course). I think it teaches you the strategies that give you the ability to properly tackle the questions you'll be presented with. Our instructor had also mentioned that completion of the QBank is vital to doing well on boards. They had found that people who had failed after using Kaplan were those that generally had barely used qbank or not used it at all. I completed 100% of the questions and know now that it really made a significant difference in anwsering my questions on the exam. I would also completely read the course book at least once. In the first few pages of the coursebook you will find that it provides a schedule that you can tailor.. depending on how many weeks after the live portion you plan to take boards. This allows you to accordingly follow a set schedule and finish the questions before your test date. I feel that the key is anwsering questions, using the strategies and developing that confidence that you will after anwsering so many questions continously for several weeks. I wish you the best of luck!!! :wink2:
  3. Wow, I completely agree that CA should participate in Quickresults, it is truly a difficult experience to have to wait in suspense for so long to confirm..I simply had to wait this weekend for my results and slept terribly for the past 3 nights wondering. However.. I must say that I did do the pearsonvue trick and it totally worked! It gave me the pop-up and I PASSED!! Had I only trusted it earlier I would not have been in a state of panic this entire weekend. I told a friend about it because she took it on the same day and it worked for her too!!! I don't know what else to say but I'm a believer. So if you have to wait this long I would definitely say go ahead and try the PearsonVue trick!! In my experience QBANK (from Kaplan) was the way to go! Best of luck to all of you future nurses!!!!
  4. I also took the NCLEX on Friday in VA and feel like this waiting is driving me crazy!! Honestly. taking this on Friday was not the best idea but I didn't realize it at the time! I did get the pop-up from PearsonVue with the "trick"..so I hope that is some indication but I can't bring myself to calm my nerves about it yet until I get something official. I plan on calling first thing tomorrow morning! You can call the VA BON verification line then to see if there is an active license for your SSN. Good luck! I hope we passed!!
  5. I just did the "trick" and it showed me the pop-up. I will keep my fingers crossed!!! Seems very promising..I just hope it's right!!! I took the NCLEX today and might have to wait all weekend to find out so this at least let's me relax..at least a little bit....!! What the heck, I'm going to have to distract myself to keep thinking about it so I think I'm just going to go watch all the movies I've been wanting to watch for the past 3 months while I've been stuck indoors studying!! Good luck to all those still waiting!!!
  6. Got2BeanRN, I have a quick question, how did you get results on the weekend? I took my NCLEX today (Friday) in VA and I am wondering if I will have to go crazy all weekend waiting for results. Seeing that you got yours on the weekend gives me a glimmer of hope. Could you share the info as to where you called/checked to find out? Thanks so much!! :uhoh21:
