  1. Hello all. I am an associate level nursing student about to begin clinicals for my Peds rotation. I was wondering if anyone knew of a website where I could get some sample questions that I could use and build on to ask my patients, that would allow me to determine the stage of Erikson's? While I know one question doesn't guarantee the determination i am more or less looking for a guide that would put me on the right track for formulating my own questions and a game plan before I hit the floor. I have found plenty of guides to Erikson's 8 Stages, what I am looking for as I stated previously is something that takes a more direct approach to each stage and questions a nurse could pose, in each stage, to the patient. Much thanks for your help! KW- Tennessee
  2. Does anyone possess any information on where I may find practice quizzes/ practice questions related to pathophysiology. I've searched online and just haven't had much success in finding anything yet. I'll keep looking but if someone can help me that would be great. * I can't help but think theres got to be some out there on the net, right?
  3. My best advice is to use dimensional analysis as your method for solving the calculations. Some people use ratio/proportion, etc; but as the calculations get more difficult you will be glad you learned dimensional analysis. Also, you could try to find out what conversions your school expects you to learn and go ahead and learn them. And last, buy you a good Med Calculation book and work through it. One good book published by Mosby is titled Calculate with Confidence, by Deborah Gray Morris. Student-RN
  4. As this is my first post to this forum I hope first of all that I am not posting on a topic that has already been covered in a previous thread. If I am I apologize. I am a first semester nursing student (RN) from TN. As we are about to complete our check off for wound care and documentation I am amazed at how far we have come in so short a time. At the same time I am amazed at how much I don't know, or better put, how much I still have to learn. My purpose of posting is to pose to you the question of wound documentation. I understand the vocabulary associated with the things I may encounter during said dressing change, what seems to be giving me the most difficulty is documentation, in a narrative form, of what I have seen and assessed during the change. If there is anyone who has some helpful information and maybe even some examples to provide I would be most grateful. Thanks Student-RN
