  1. Dopamine_P, 4.0 cumulative and pre-req grades are exceptional. your NLN scores are average, as most people don't do too well on the English portion. You scored above the 50% mark for all sections, so you should just sign up for the spring 2012 semester anyway. I have faith in you! I'm in the 4th semester at UH Manoa School of Nursing now and I'm lovin' it! sucks that they are integrating the new curriculum into my semester (since my semester is the last traditional nursing program and the ones following mine are a part of the new consortium).
  2. Brian (admission specialist) told me 108. Perhaps he was referring to 108 qualified applicants. The rest either did not follow directions or did not meet the requirements.
  3. They DO give an extra point to male applicants.
  4. I understand that you want to take all your courses from UH-Manoa. If your scholarships require you to be a full-time student at UH-Manoa, consider taking an elective course that won't overlap with the nursing courses. If you choose to do that, then an option would be to take PHARM203 from a community college, whether it's during the summer or fall 2009. However, you must take into consideration that all summer courses are accelerating.
  5. when your counselor said "Finalizing with the admission people," did he mean: 1. they're still deciding how many students they're accepting taking into account their "budget cut"? 2. or putting all the acceptance packets together and ready to send out? I hope the School of Nursing was not affected so much by the budget cut and they have decided to accept all the people they have not denied! I'm so anxious.... I hope I get in. Let's introduce ourselves to each other on the day of orientation (that's if all these people applying for Fall 09 gets in). just kidding!
  6. "good luck to you! i am sorry, but i do not know if i can be of any help. i too, am wondering if my scores are good enough. i am applying with: pre-requisite gpa-4.0 cumulative gpa-3.43 net scores- 88%. i have all my ge requirements completed, and am currently enrolled in ma 100 & pharm 203. i do know that although they allow you to take your last science & non-science classes this semester, that they do not count toward your gpa. other than that, i am not sure. please let me know when you hear something. when i talked to the admissions office they said after your application was reviewed, that i would recieve a letter of completion regarding my application, then sometime between apr 1 & may 1, i would hear regarding admission... like i said, good luck to you, and let me know if you hear anything. i will post on here, when i hear back from the admissions office. btw-where are you taking pharm 203? i am taking it a lcc with tanji, the online class." i am taking the lecture class w/ tanji. how'd you do on the first exam? too bad he doesn't curve the exam grades! the first test would've boosted me up to an a. good luck on your admission for this fall. i hope we can both make it in.
  7. I was just wondering but what are my chances of being accepted if my cumulative GPA is a 3.45, my pre-req is a 3.60? My composite score was a 70... I'm taking my last required science and also Pharmacology 203 right now. Would taking the additional pharm 203 class (not required for Fall) help me? Do I have a chance??
