  1. I feel @HowardRN2017 frustration, but I am not too discouraged to sit for the exam again. I too have taken the exam more than 4 times unsuccessfully myself. I am not giving up on my dream to become a nurse either. I am a believer too...so I'm going to trust and believe that God will see me through. With that being said, you mentioned needing Stategy if you don't know content. At this point, I am not sure what I know or don't know, so I would consider studying some strategies as a bonus and to increase my chance of passing. What's a good source to use to brush up on strategy? Thanks & God Bless Gloria!
  2. Greetings everyone! I hoping for a some really good advice. I graduated from a 2-yr Nursing Program in 1995. I am not now nor have I ever worked in the field since graduation. I have taken the NCLEX RN Examination more than 5 times, after using several different review books and several refresher courses. I used one review book this last time and did not take a refresher. I studied daily for about 6-8 weeks. I do not want to give up on my dream of being a nurse and would like to take the exam again this year. Any advise on where to start? What has worked for you or someone you know that may have passed the first time or may have taken the test multiple times? Any refreser courses you would recommend? Study habits? Study Plans? Advise? Constructive Criticism? Thanks in advance, G
  3. Thanks...I'll give it a try!
  4. I just sent you an email!
  5. Thanks for sharing! I am a repeat test taker as well...more than 5 times! I just received my eligibility letter on Friday. It's been more than 5 years since I've taken the test and I am not currently working in the field. Other than the resources you've already shared and prayer (I am Christian too), where do you think would be a good starting point for me? Personally, I was thinking Saunders and Kaplan because I am sure I was lacking in content to begin with and with so much elapsed time since my last test, I'm sure I lost most of what I did know. Thanks again & God Bless!
  6. Monday/Thursday/Sunday; however, my schedule is very hectic in the coming weeks...graduations, training, birthdays and vacation. Let's see how we can help each other!!
  7. I live in East Anaheim and work in Huntington Beach.
  8. I'm a repeat test taker and I'm looking for a study partner or group in Orange County, California. At this point, I do not have a test date in mind as I'm waiting to hear back from the State Board regarding my eligibility for re-examination. At this time, I have been just reading and taking any free NCLEX style questions I find by searching Google.
  9. Congratulations! I am planning to test again this year. I have tested more times than I can or care to remember, more than 6 times for sure, so this gives me hope and the added motivation I need to be successful! Thanks for sharing! MzG
  10. Congratulations! Thanks for all the tips! This is truly what I needed to here, especially since I'm waiting to hear from the boards whether or not I'm eligible to take the exam. I graduated almost 20 years ago and has taken the test more times than I can or care to remember. The last time I tested was June 2010. I have taken Kaplan Review, Sally Langerquist and a review with Sycamore Learning Center of LA. Yes. I've read and studied a lot of information to no avail, but I haven't and will not give up. Is it possible to have the 35 page information emailed to [email protected]? Also, where would you suggest I start and focus my study? Again, Congrats and thanks! MzG
