  1. For those who have taken SEC assessment and required to take courses, May i know who will pay for the course? how long is the estimated time for a one course? Thanks . . .hit me back aight.
  2. littlelulu 920, Right now, SRNA is requiring SEC as of this 2009. so, why not take SEC because its their requirement. If you passed your requirement a year earlier, you'll be lucky to not have SRNE. WHy not take the SEC of BC so you wont be spending another bucks submitting requirements to SRNA.
  3. gambutrol, may i know your hospital experience? how many years?
  4. johnbrew replied to gemerald's topic in General World
you need to follow what you have signed because it's a breech of contract and you'll be penalize if you didnt follow the contract. may i know what it says in the contract?
  5. nursemuch, yap yap, thats it. its a consent form to release assessment from other province in canada to the srna.
  6. any new updates to those who applied in saskatchewan this year 2009? me, they gave me contact id number and ask me to fill out the additional information form and sent it to them via email. . . How about those applicants in SRNA that applied directly because they (we) don't have agency here in philippines?updates . . .?
  7. right, there is SEC assessment in saskatchewan. i emailed them personally and the answer is yes, expect sec when applying in saskatchewan.
  8. pvs17, may i know how long did you wait before they required you to take your SEC? do you have hospital experience? do you already have your visa? in which province of canada did you applied? which country are you from? thanks . . . im hoping to hear from you . . . :hrnsmlys:
  9. rogue2578, very informative. do you know how long assessment of SRNA will take before they tell you to if you are eligible to take SEC?
  10. frustratednurse search other thread. i read some thread on the flow of SEC assessment before.
  11. for those who will take their SEC assessment. in which province of canada will you take your SEC? I also applied in saskatchewan, canada and now I'm still waiting for their assessment. Good luck to those who will take their SEC. Cheers to all.
  12. why not try another line of work like call center, I know that everyone here love nursing and really want to gain some experience in nursing but somehow along the way you need to realize that you need money to feed yourself and support yourself . processing of hospital application in Philippines will take a long time, you can 1st submit your application in hospital where you want to work ( as if you have a choice). or take your basic life support and IV training before applying to hospital because its a requirement to most of the hospitals then apply in any field of work such call center to have a money to support yourself. Its better being productive than unproductive at home , waiting for the hospital to call. Most(or some) of the Nursing graduate are unemployed and at home waiting for the hospital to call without even realizing that it will take them 1 year of waiting because there is no demand. If you want, you can volunteer first because i understand the feeling of a new RN. New RN want to experience how to work in hospital without the assistant of Clinical Instructor like in college. What i want to say is you can wait for the hospital call while being productive. Im also a license nurse in Philippines and Vermont , Im still here because of the retrogression. Im now working in call center because I want to be productive and want to be independent. What i did , I applied 1st in hospitals in manila before going in call center so when there's opening i can work to hospital.
  13. what i know is you are required to renew your license despite you are here in the Philippines or else you will be charge with fine. ssn is not required in vermont , that is one of the reason why i choose Vermont because I can renew my license continuously. I'm also a licensed nurse in Vermont who took the NCLEX November of 2008. They do have a fix date for expiration of license applicable to all and required to renew them not later than 30 days after the expiration date or you will pay their fine. contact Vermont and ask them directly is the best thing to do. cheers to everyone.
  14. aussiekyle, thanks. wish you luck. . .
  15. AussieKylie, Hello. How long will your pediatrics and Obstetrics course will take? How much is the payment for the course?
