I think all schools will require english101, college algebra, speech, and sociology. I was attending a cal state to try to get into their BSN program but I wasn't able to get in so now I'm going to a private school that offers ADN and those are the general education classes that both schools require. But I'm sure all schools will have a few classes that they require you to take that is specifically for their program. Also, be careful if you're going to a college that is on the quarter system and plan on transferring to another school. I took microbiology and A&PI and II at a college that was on the quarter system and when I transferred to a semester system, they wouldn't let me transfer my credits because it wasn't enough so I have to take those classes over again. So yea, it would be good to talk to a rep from the nursing department and then try to take as many required classes you need before you start the program so you won't have such a heavy classload once you're in the nursing program.
