  1. Not a lot, but some. I worked inpatient for 1 1/2 years and then peds clinic for 3 yrs. I am working in an urgent care now. They said that they required one year of RN experience and that is it.
  2. I just got my acceptance letter a week ago. That was a long wait! I am in! WOOHOO!!!
  3. Ok, so I called yesterday and they said that they send out the acceptance letters in late March to early April. So I guess I just have to wait and see!
  4. Yes, sorry for the confusion. I posted it in the Idaho region so I didn't specify. I am referring to Idaho State University. And I still haven't heard from them!!! I am going crazy from not knowing!
  5. Thanks for the info. I have a med/surg/ortho background as well as pediatric clinic. The big issue I have is that I haven't worked for 5 years and no one is willing to take a chance...and the time to train me. I can understand, but I am an excellent nurse and I want to get back out into the nursing world and make a difference. I am looking on a daily basis and I know that the right job will turn up. Thanks again for the info on the agencies.
  6. Caringchic, I am not currently working with an agency. I am trying to find a job and not having ANY luck.
  7. If you don't mind me asking...what is the issue?
  8. It is not necessarily a lack of hiring new grads. The job market is dwindling and with the downturn of the economy "retired" nurses are headed back to the market also. So the demand for jobs is higher and there are less jobs open out there. Keep your head up and keep trying. Good luck!
  9. Thank you for your response. Congratulations on your acceptance into grad school. I should have been a little more specific. I have applied to Idaho State University's grad school...but any info is appreciated!
  10. I have recently applied to ISU's grad school for the FNP program. I am very anxious about getting accepted and want to know if anyone else has applied. If so how long does it usually take to get "the letter"? It has only been one week! I think I need a chill pill .
