  1. I will not be working after this semester, so looking for a study guide for micro is really just a short term resource I need. I really just need more time out of my schedule, which I just don't have. When I don't go to work I am catching up on projects or assignments or am studying for other classes. If I'm not doing that I am sleeping since I only sleep an average of 5 nights a week @ 6 hours each, I am very sleep deprived and showing it. If I could sit and read the material, I would.
  2. hello, does anyone have any good advice or words of wisdom on this? i am a cna in nursing school. i am starting to look at things differently in the hospital setting, so i am making baby steps to becoming a nurse. what i am having trouble with is the critical thinking and answering the good, better, best questions correctly. it seems like i am always finding the better answer, but just not the best answer. how do i make that next step & start thinking like a nurse? thanks.
  3. does anyone have any suggestions for a good microbiology study guide? i work as a cna while in nursing school and just don't have the time to read the chapters.
  4. Hello, I work bedside at a hospital with an average of 12-16 patients a night. When I get to work, I wash my hands before and after going to a patient's room. Or if there are two patients to a room I wash my hands, put on gloves, work with the patient, then wash my hands again or use alcohol gel and allow to air dry, then put on a new set of gloves for the next patient. Once I am all done with anything else I need to do in the room and with the patients, I wash my hands again. I haven't gotten sick or felt sick yet, but I usually stick with Zycam when I start feeling sick and continue for a week. Essentially I practice as frequently as I can the standard safety precautions for all infection control. I always use new gloves for each new task and I wear a gown when precautioned to. It also helps to make sure all of your immunizations are up-to-date.
