  1. forgive the typos.......I just had a LONG day....
  2. Hello Kayzee!! I am not a RN (yet), but from personal experience I would recommend looking into Lee Memorial Hospital. The reason I say this is just a couple of years ago my husband was in that hospital for colon cancer. I spent some time there and was very observent, the whole staff was awesome!!! Not only did they look after him but they really cared about my well being as well and were so kind, I noted that they were cheerful and seemed happy as a TEAM!! (that to me speaks volumes, after being in the heathcare industry for 15 years you put alot of regard into that). :) I just loved the way they could and WOULD reach out to my DH in his most fearful time, they were rays of sunshine in a dark moment, if I still lived on that coast I wouldn't hesitate!!! Hope this helps!! Good luck!!
  3. Hi all!!! :) I am almost finished with my prereqs and hoping to get into nursing school, I contacted Glenwood Springs Community College for their info and wondered if anyone knows anything about their program? My hubbie and I are considering a move to that area to be by family. We are now living in South Florida (Fort Lauderdale area) and I was also wondering what the average starting pay is in that area?? I know here it is pretty sad compared to the cost of living :angryfire ... so terrible nurses are soooo under paid for what all they contribute. But if your hearts in it, what can you do???? Thank you so much !! Angela
