  1. I currently work a 2day 2night 4off rotation in a NeoNatal ICU. I will run after my shift on the first day, before I nap before the first night and on at least 2 of my days off. It is possible to run after a 12 hour shift, I find I sleep better. I go home, eat a light snack, do some yoga to warm up and then do a light and easy run, usually about 5-7km. I also go all out on that run before my first night shift, it is usually my middle distance around 8-11km. I then go home, do some stretching, eat a light snack and a cup of sleepy time tea, read a bit and am happily ready for a nap around 2. Keep running, it is the one thing that will keep you sane and make you feel less like you are cheers!!!
  2. I read just today in the Toronto Star that the babies were in vitro AND that she has not been showered with offers of free diapers and the like. Interesting, because I bet on some level that's what she expected. I personally disapprove of the healthcare resources this sort of situation gobbles up. I mean, c'mon! The woman already has 6 children! If someone needs extensive counselling before being allowed to get a sex change operation which only affects them, they should be subjected to similar counsellling when deciding to have so many babies, something that affects others. Just my opinion and naturally not an attitude I exude in practice
  3. I am currently studying to write the exam NEXT WEDNESDAY!!! Feb 4th. Very nervous and very excited. I have found the best material has been the CNA guide and today I did the online readiness test ($42 off CNA website). I found these materials best because they give the rationales not just for why an answer is correct but why others are incorrect, as well, the full references for EVERY question as opposed to a long list of references at the end of the book. Both are available off the CNA website. Good luck to all those writing NEXT WEDNESDAY!!!
