LPN online?
I didn't know that. Thanks for the heads up.

LPN online?
Well that kinda sucks.. so I guess I'll just take some biology, chem, anatomy, etc. to try and get ahead. Hopefully they'll transfer.

LPN online?
Right, I'm looking for a school to do all my book work at. I know I would need to do clinicals somewhere.. maybe a hospital if they do that?

LPN online?
Thanks FairyCari. Well I'll still look around, otherwise it's just going to be rando Science class taking.

LPN online?
Right, I knew that. Sorry. That made me look pretty dumb.. I guess I mean a school that will allow me to do the book work and then go to a hospital or comparable place to do the clinicals. I thought Masters programs with nursing had that.. was wondering if anyone knew of a good LPN school that did it. Thanks! Alex

LPN online?
Hi all! I'm in the USAF and am wondering, is there an on line school which I can get my LPN through? I deploy a lot so an in residence class wont be an option here at all. And I haven't found a pure LPN on line school yet either. I don't have a health care background at all except for being a CNA for a brief minute back when I was 17. Thanks, and I'm still looking. Outside the US?
No I do not currently have a nursing degree. I am considering it though. After living in Japan, I realized that I love living overseas so I want to do that as much as possible. The military wont really let me do that as much as I'd like unless it involved a place with sand and no beach. Thanks for the info, Europe would be great. Anyone know of other places to go / has anyone else done the travel nursing thing?

Outside the US?
Hello - I am currently not a nurse but a military guy. I am considering leaving the service in the next 3 years to pursue nursing and one of the big ideas is traveling. Is it possible to do travel nursing outside of the country. I'm single, lived in Japan for 2 years and love language barriers. :) So ya, is travel nursing the correct term or is it something else for outside of the country. I haven't found a lot of info on this for Americans trying to work out of the US more for other nurses trying to work in America. I'm open to working just about anywhere (besides the desert). Any insight would be great. Thanks! Alex

Considering Nursing, need advice
Hello all, I'm a 22 yr old who has 3 years left in the USAF and am looking for advice. I'm sure you get these questions often but here goes. Before I joined I was a CNA at a sub-par nursing home and got a real bad taste in my mouth when it comes to the health care field. I worked with a lot of bad people and bad nurses. Not the best first impression I know. But I'm thinking about giving this another shot. I am in the USAF and thought I wanted to do this for the rest of my life. But now I am getting tired of the life style and the lack of freedom. Don't get me wrong, I love serving my country, but it's wearing on me. So I guess I am asking for some positive feedback from people saying it's not the job I made it out to be 4 years ago. Maybe some recommendations? I have 2 associates degrees (maybe a batchelors if I get off my ass). I'm thinking of pursuing a BSN or maybe an MSN.. not sure yet. I would love to travel abroad as much as I could. Don't like desk work (but I know everyone has to do some). And I want to feel like I'm doing something to help others / make a difference in this world rather than learning about aircraft systems and how to tell pilots respectfully that they suck at flying. I'm not to spun up on the types of specialties for nurses. But, I would rather not be surrounded by death 24/7. Any ideas or recommendations would be great. Thanks all! Alex
