  1. Thanks Everyone!! I found out today that I passed!! yay. I honestly have no idea how because i felt like i answered all of the questions wrong but i guess i guessed right on lots. Thanks and good luck :) Melissa- RN!!! yay first time i got to write this
  2. Hey all, I just took the NCLEX-RN and it stopped at 75! I feel like i knew 5 answers and thats it. A lot of SATA, priority, and Meds and nothing else. Last question was a Med question and I had no idea... quessed Wrong. I tried the "trick" and wasnt allowed to pay. - good sign. Do you think I passed or Failed? Has anyone else passed if they knew they got the last question wrong? :bowingpur
  3. So... from my origional post. Thanks everyone for responding! I have made some decisions.. which may not be good but i am taking a big risk. My twin sister and my boyfriend live in Northern Cali and I honestly cant wait another year to be near them again. I am going to give it a shot. I am giving myself 6 months to find a job out there and if I dont I will move back to the East coast where I have had some job offers. From the sounds of it I am not even sure 1 year of med/surg experience is going to help and I really cant be in NY longer than that. I am applying to some new grad programs I found and hopefully it will work out. Does anyone know of any other new grad programs other than Stanford and the VA? Thank you so much
  4. So MAJOR problems: I am moving NY to CA in May when I graduate with my BSN. I have been looking for jobs in Northern California and found lots of road blocks. I need advice what should i do???? 1) Move out here in May and take the chance of not getting a position (Stanford hospital has 700 applicants for 30 positions!). 2) Stay in NY for a year then hopefully be able to come out here when I have a year of experience?? Do you think it would be easier to find a job that way??? I have to decide NOW because NY decides on applications BEFORE I can even officially apply to CA Do I have a shot at getting a job in CA? some of my resume includes: BSN 3.7 GPA, STT honor society, numerous national awards, volunteering each winters (3yrs) for a medical clinic in Honduras, working for the Homeless Coaltion in SF, RA, nursing tutor... ANYONE THINK I HAVE A GOOD CHANCE???
  5. Still a little confused.. I am in NY at the Sage Colleges (BSN). **How do I find out if I meet CA education requirments? **Also, will training programs have a problem with a temporary license? I am thinking I will get my license in NY in June then transfer it to CA when I have a job set up.
  6. Hey everyone, I am in my last semester! yay! of a 4 year RN program. I live in New York and I am planning on moving to California when I graduate in May. Does anyone understand how to apply for the NCLEX before graduation? On the forms it says to apply months before you want to take it but on the TRANSCRIPT SECTION it says you can not have this form filled out till all nursing requirments are completed. And you can not apply till the application is complete. So... I cant apply to take the test till after graduation? a bit confused... can you help?? Thanks, Melissa
