  1. this post was very inspiring. its good to know that it'll get better. appreciate it!
  2. last night during my shift. i almost had to experience a full code. the pt started coding. and since i work in agency, i'm the only LPN at this house. if it wasn't for the mom being there & talking me through, i dont know what i wouldve done. granted, the mom said i did good for it being my first time. but OMG!

does anyone know how to go about with a name change? i just recently got divorced, and i got the letter in the mail that allows for my maiden name to be given back to me. i just dont know how i'd go about it. any suggestions will be gladly appreciated.
  6. thanks for the info about the name change. about my agency. im currently going through a probation phase. im currently not on a trach pt because my agency wants to see how i deal with an apnea pt first. so far, it's going good. but once i get orientated to a trach pt, i'll be the only LPN on site along with the family. just kind of overwhelming.
  7. soo. i just recently got divorced and i dont know how to go about with the name change with the board of nursing. any suggestions will be glaaaaaaadly appreciated. and another thing. i work at this agency which specializes in peds. granted yes, i'm a brand new lpn but it frightens me when they talk about placing me with vent pts. is that normal? i havent had a pt code on me yet. but i wonder if im able to stay calm in a situation like that?
