  1. Do yourselves all a favor and get your Patho & Pharm classes over with before you go into the nursing program, or take them somewhere else Trust me, it'll make your first semester a whole lot easier.
  2. Maggioflore, what kind of gel do you use on your hands before you put on gloves?
  3. Awright, do you have an compensatory sweating after the surgery? Do you have any regrets?
  4. Thanks for your reply! When you say physical assessments, do you mean we do it on each other? I'm sooo embarrassed to touch someone when my hands are dripping wet! =( I'm still debating whether or not to get the surgery, which will most likely be out of pocket since I need it before school starts in August (& I'm sure my insurance won't cover it by then). Also, the surgery is quite dangerous & has some bad side effects, as I've read. But I'm desperate, for the sake of this career!
  5. Well my situation is that I have hyperhidrosis, excessive sweating of the hands. I'm worried about my first semester in the nursing program because the situation is just embarrassing. Plus, wearing gloves is impossible to do. My insurance is taking too long to cover the surgery, so right now I just have to deal w/ it, at least for the first semester. So my question is for those of you who are in the BSN program at CSULB, did the first semester require using gloves or physical contact w/ other students (in lab, for example)?
  6. Has anyone actually registered for classes? Like N200 or N202, the ones you don't need department/instructor consents for? I don't know whether we're supposed to wait for a certain time. Thx.
  7. Wow.. I'm surprised that they still answered after 8pm! What time did you guys call?
  8. Rizzay, did you get accepted into CSULB or its nursing program? Well, congrats either way! D_fernandez, the phone number is an automated number, but it's able to transfer you to the nursing dept office, so maybe it's too late for your call to get through. You can try calling again during business hours on Monday. I wasn't too confident either coz of my TEAS test scores, but all went well.. just keep your fingers crossed!
  9. Oh, & don't worry about feeling dumb. It never made any sense to me why WE had to call.
  10. Yeah, I am, fortunately! =) Good luck to all of you who still need to find out!
  11. They're not going to call you, you're supposed to call them. At least that's what I understood when I asked the front desk of the Nursing dept. The phone number is up there ^^
  12. A list of accepted people are posted in the Nursing dept window, I believe it's Mona Lisa's office window. If you're near CSULB you could drop by. I just came from there so I know for sure it's up now. Or you can always call the Nursing dept. @ 562 985 4463.
