RN jobs Las Vegas
Vegas EMT, Well, I just noticed that there aren't as "many" jobs posted as earlier. HCA doesn't seem to have as many FT positions as they did before. Your right, there are still jobs but I get the sense that RNs aren't in such great demand like they were a couple of years ago.:) I guess I'm exaggerating a little bit. Therefore, in your opinion, is there still a big demand out there? Are they still offering relocation bonuses to out-of-state nurses. By the way, which system is the best to work for, and are they unionized? Who pays the best for nurses with 15+ years experience(management, critical care)? Thanks Vegas EMT

RN jobs Las Vegas
So what's going on! It seems like things are drying up in Las Vegas. I don't see half the jobs that I did a year ago. What happened to the critical nursing shortage in Las Vegas? Is there still a demand? Is this just a temporary thing? Too many nurses? What? I know the economy is bad but people "still" get sick, right? Aren't people still moving there? UMC doesn't have any jobs! Please give me the scoop! Thanks

are there foreigned trained nurses here in las vegas
Hello! I am a Registered Respiratory Therapist, and my wife is a Filipino trained Registered Nurse.I did a travel contract back in 2005, and the "majority" of the nurses I worked with were Filipino.I don't see a problem if you've been approved by the CGFNS already, and you are RN eligible. They will probably require that you have your RN first. The only bad thing is that "some" hospitals are "not" hiring new grads right now due to budget cuts. You will probably have to sell yourself (skills) to them on your resume.I always tell my wife to emphasize her UST education since UST (1611) is older than Harvard (1638). Most Americans are shocked that by that...and a little jealous. If you can't get hired by a hospital, you can always try a skilled nursing facility or an acute rehab hospital like Healthsouth.Give it a try. Keep in mind, that without Filipino nurses in Vegas...the city would shut down, and people would die. Be proud of your education -- its better than most U.S. programs. Most U.S. nurses only have an AS degree, unlike Filipinos who have a BSN. I hope this helps.:wink2:

RN pay: Reno vs Las Vegas (experienced nurses)
Hello everybody! I'm relocating and have important questions. How much do RN's earn with 15+ years experience -- including supervisory-- in Reno and Las Vegas. I've worked all units and have been a nursing supervisor for 8 years? Do any of these hospitals offer big weekend and night differentials? Is Renown Health union? Thank you :nuke:
