I recently took the nclex exam and passed and I know that without prayer I would not have done so. I studied so much, taking a break on Sundays only. I used about 9 resources, but when I went to the exam I was shock. I Saw medications that I have never seen in my life. My exam was just about meds, pioritization and infection control. I was not asked simple questions. At times I ACTUALLY felt clueless and I Just prayed and continued. I did 75 questions in 3 hours and was praying that I would not go over 75. I did not take a break, out of fear that I would run out of time, even when my bladder was full I just kept on going. I cried on my way home and felt no book could match up to that exam. Please avoid negative forums PlEASE. The journey has not been easy for me, since I was not trained in this country. I did not do any formal preparation just studied on my own. resources- kaplan-practice questions from kaplan. Kaplan questions prepared me for the nclex. I would say, they are best in terms of questions. Saunders- The questions were no way close to the exam, but you need saunders for content only. Hurst book- used it only for content, it explains the disease process .in a simple way Lippincott-The questions were too easy. nclex3000- Please use these questions to practice epecially the management questions. Mosby- I HONESTLY FELT like Mosby questions help in Understanding the disease process, so I RECOMMEND it for content only. There questions were not even close to the exam. EXAM CRAM- EXAM CRAM, PRACTICE THERE MANAGEMENT SECTION SO YOU can get an understanding of pioritization. princeton, waste of time, as far as I AM CONCERN. There questions were not close to the exam and content not enough. Overall I would recommend kaplan and exam cram. Please used Saunders for CONTENT ONLY.PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO THE LITTLE YELLOW BOXES.PRAY PRAY PRAY and do not cram, it does not work.
