  1. I completely understand the frustration of LTC. Tomarrow is my last day working at a LTC facility and I almost want to scream with joy that after tomarrow I don't have to go back The staff that I work with could care less about their work and whether it gets done or not. Everyday that I leave work, I just want to drive my car off a bridge to keep from having to go back. Getting phone calls all hours of the day and night over very unimportant things, I have great respect for those who do LTC and love it but I will never do it again.
  2. I live in southern IL and if pay is a deciding factor I have heard that CA pays more. The pay in the northern part of the state is not bad though.
  3. i just graduated from an il nursing school and it is true you have to pick one or the other states, but you can get a bistate license- after you recieve one you can apply for the other. i am getting my mo license first and then my il.
  4. As a nursing student, a post like this makes me wonder if our evaluations are truely based on our performance. I really don't think that this students choice of sexual identity is even the instructors business. I can think of lots of things that could be considered "deviant" by society that everyone is taught (especially by our instructors) is the other person's choice and I don't think that this is a different situation. I hope that not all instructors base their opinions of their students on their personal lifestyle choices. I guess if so, competence is not important.
  5. Psych and OB/Peds - - I'm not that interested in either nor do I have the patience.
