  1. That's kind of my point. It's used to keep us walking on eggshells. We're all afraid to stand up for ourselves because we know it can come back to screw us. It seems like quite the liability as well. If two people have the same score, and just say one is black and gets the B+ and a white student gets the A, who's to say the teacher wasn't just racist?... I know it's stretching it and all but it just seems like there's too much favoritism as it is. I've already pushed the limits because I am a breastfeeding mom and made them find a place for me to pump at lunch. After standing my ground on that issue, I'm terrified to do anything else. The same teacher also taught us the earliest a baby can walk is 12 months!!! She's not the brightest to say the least. Could you imagine if I were to get a job at a pediatricians office thinking babies don't walk independently before 12 months!!! Lol, how embarressing. I missed 2 points off my last test over that!
  2. Has anyone ever seen a teacher do a point system like this? There's a gap in between the letter grades. We thought she messed up. When a classmate asked her what's going on?, she said the gap is at her discretion. Meaning if I get 647 points, the teacher gets to decide if I get an A or B+. Two students could each have 647 points and one student may get an A and the other a B+. Isn't this the strangest thing? Or is it just me? A 651-700 points B+ 623-644 points B 595-616 points C+ 567-588 points C 546- 560 points D 490-539 points F 0-469 points

  4. I was accepted into this falls lpn class. I wish I'd have done the night class in Deland. It was all last minute. I've been trying to get into the RN program for awhile now, then sitting in the advisors office we switched my app to PN. Thank goodness, it's better than being declined from the RN program again! Anyway, I have a 22 month old and a 2 month old and I am scared to death of starting the program. Does anyone know what the daytime schedule will be in Daytona? I guess I'll find out Fri during orientation.
  5. hahaha.. nope... no arrest record!!! I don't know what it is!! I have a feeling that once I apply to other colleges, then I will miraculously get accepted to DSC!
  6. I definitely have everything completed. I have my AA degree, I literally have nothing to take anymore! I have decided to take human growth development and sociology so I can apply to St. Johns River Community and Brevard Community. I have sat with many advisors. I actually remember sitting with a Ms. Medina, I remember this because I am from Medina, OH. She was very helpful, but this was about 2 or 3 years ago! I know so many people who have been accepted and dropped out the first semester. It doesn't seem fair that I can't get in!
  7. I am just curious, what was everyones gpa? I didn't get accepted twice and the semester before that, DSC didn't take applications for the ADN program. I have had all of my pre-reqs done for quite sometime now. I am just waiting!!
