  1. Actually, as what i know of, you don't need your red ribboned documents for visa processing. They just need your passport and your minimun down payment/ processing fee. Red ribboned documents are for your 'iqama'. This will be your working permit/ ID when u get to Saudi. You will present your red ribboned documents in order to get this iqama... I am not so sure but this is what I understood with what my agency had told me.
  2. Hi!! Anyone who applied this year and has been given a visa already? Its taking quite long and I'm feeling a bit anxious about my application here. I applied thru lbs- e recruitment and its their first time to handle this employer. This agency processes documents fast because their employers usually have ready visas. But with Riyadh Military Hospital, they said they're not sure yet when the visa will be coming. They said 'maybe' last week of april. I hope what happened last year to RMH's applicants won't happen again this year...
  3. POEA says placement fee can only be equivalent to a month salary. Did arjoy ask for more than the offered monthly basic salary? Because if they did, then its really too much. With those agencies doing salary deduction, just be careful because they can deduct more than what ia required.
  4. Hi! I have an ongoing application for this hospital as well but through another agency. I passed thr interview and had my medical exam and PDOS too already all in the month of MArch. Right now, I am just waiting for the visa. I was browsing through the net about this hospital when i stumbled upon this thread and found out that the visa could take more than 3 months to be given by Al Kharj??? Is there anyone who has an application a year ago still waiting for the visa? Because if there is then it would take longer for us 2011 applicants to attain a visa. And oh yeah, i just like to ask for those who are working there already, how is the working environment? The accommodation? Salary? Is it the same with what you signed in the contract? Like the 15% allowance is really given? Thank u so much!!! Hoping for a reply and more power to us nurses!!!
  5. Hi! It's along E.rodriguez, near St. Luke's. And yes, it's a tertiary hospital. :)
  6. Hi robocop! I think that's the new training program they implemented. The last batch of trainees had their training last January and they only had it for a month. DLS is, i think, a bit overstaffed now because only a few or maybe none has filed resignation yet. There was a time when resignation was frequent and so the turn over was really fast there. But right now, it's on the contrary. What I think they are trying to do now is to "pool" nurses for future reference.
  7. no problem :) God bless
  8. for those who are interested to apply in de los santos, you can submit your resume to: [email protected]
  9. I don't think so, robocop. I think all hospitals have a pre-employment training program.
  10. It was just an example okay. Of course if your hands are soiled, you really have to handwash... before giving medication, you handwash.. for obvious reasons, whether your busy or not, you handwash. i was just trying to give an example where a book says something so ideal and you don't get apply it in real situations. You handwash whenever you can.. but hasn't there been a time when you forgot to handwash because you were so busy to do it? Again, you just forgot to do it.. and NOT intentionally did not do it for an excuse of being busy. I guess I should've just given another example.. and besides my point there wasn't about handwashing or infection control.. but the difference between the ideal and the reality..
  11. You need a backer there. That's what I know. but I heard during early November they were open for hiring and the training will be on February. Requirements: Photocopy of the following: Diploma TOR Board of rating Board certificate PRC Card Cedula 1 2x2 pic
  12. Oh, I'm sort of in the same boat as you are. Most of my salary just go to PRC, nursing books, NCLEX and trainings. We nurses really need to invest a lot in this career. I just really hope that it will pay off someday!
  13. Oh, I'm sort of in the same sentiments as you are... After I took the board exam I immediately looked for a job because I wouldn't be given allowances anymore. And then after passing it, most of my salary just went to PRC for my registration and certificates, some nclex requirements, and other trainings as well. We nurses need a lot of investments in our career. Just hope it really pays off someday.
  14. argh.. I should've known :selfbonk:
  15. Are nurses here supposed to have very short haircut?
