  1. Toyenola, Prayer and I used Kaplans strategies book and saunders comprehensive review. These are both really great. Know the ABCs, the nursing process and Maslow. This helped me narrow my choices down. If you don't have a lot of time left and you can afford it get the Kaplans book if you don't aleady have it. Good luck I'm sure you will do great!
  2. I took the NCLEX on 6/24/09 and I PASSED!!:yeah:I want to thank all of you for all of the wonderful tips on this board. You guys rock! BTW the "pearson vue trick" worked for me.
  3. We met on Tues and Thurs from 6-9 we rarely stayed til 9 and sat and sun from 9-1 for the 1st semester. 2nd and 3rd semester we met either on Tues ir Thurs for test. She would let you come in between 6-9 for test and then we did most of our clinicals on the weekends. After 1st semester we had labs on some weeks so we had to come on both Tues and Thurs. Our main instructor was great. She gave a schedule for the whole semester and tried her best to work around everyone's schedule. She always tried to give us a few weeks notice if possible if she had to make any changes to the schedule and if for some reason we couldn't make it to one of the scheduled nights she would find a way for us o make up the time. I hope this helps
  4. Hi Tamon, I graduated from the program in December. Since we were the 1st class it was a bit unorganized and one of the clinical instructors was terriable. She's not there anymore. At first the clinicals were unorganized but they got better. Overall it was just a lot of issues but I think it had a lot to do with the fact the it was a new program. I think things are going better for the new class. If you have any questions about the program I'll be happy to answer. I haven't taken the nclex yet but so far we have a 100% pass rate.
  5. Hi Sandiesown, How is the program at GTCC?
  6. Great info! Thanks
  7. Hey neygray what agency do you work for? Do you have to have any experience. I will graduate on the 12/18.
  8. Thanks neygray, I'm in the Triad area and willing to travel. Forsyth requires 6 months and Davidson which is where I'm graduating from used to require 2 years but they changed it to 18 months for us.
  9. Hello, I will be graduating for an LPN program on Dec 18. I plan to take the NCLEX by Jan. Do any of you know of a bridge program that doesn't require to work 6 months are more. Thanks in advance.
