  1. The program is so hard. I am struggling with the anatomy and physiology not to mention the skills paper test. The lowest score we can have at our school is an 81 average, which sounds doable in theory, but in reality it sucks. If we fall below that grade we are terminated from the program.
  2. Hey Sweetie 3.14, Can you tell us something about the class and what we have to look forward to. Thanks
  3. My TTC LPN course is teaching IV certification and allowing us to be IV certified in school. So we will be using this in our training throughout the time we spend in clinical. I thought that was normal.:santa:
  4. It was pretty hard. They told us to appy to all the TTC's so we could secure a spot in the program. I waited almost two years after passing my NET, but then again I only applied to the one in Hartsville. I start in January. Hope this helps.
  5. I have to have my physical tomorrow and that includes my shots. I bought the rest of my supplies and am just waiting for Monday Jan. 5th. I can't believe it is almost here. :candle:
  6. Congratulations!!I start my LPN program on January 5, I am in TN. and the waiting list here is very long. I took the NET almost 2 years ago and just made it in for this coming year. I am very happy and scared, but I am looking forward to the new lease on life. I have 5 children and my youngest is 3 and my only girl, I wasn't sure I wanted to leave her to go to school, but at my age ,I thought this is my last chance. Good luck to all.:bell:Merry Christmas
  7. Flash cards for the exam are very helpful, that is what I used when I was getting ready for the N.E.T. GOOD LUCK
  8. I live in TN, has anyone heard if EC is accepted there? I know I wont have time to attend another classroom after I become an LPN, not with five children and a full time job. Thanks!
  9. I was just looking at a site that has all the scrubs and medical equipment, and am still in shock about being accepted. The waiting list is very long around this area, as I found out when I went to orientation. We had 3 students not show up, so the door was locked and the positions were filled with alternates right then. The first day for me is on January 5, I am very excited and very nervous.:chair:.
  10. What type of questions are on the nclex-pn? I am no where near the time to take it, but would like to know what subjects are going to need extra attention. I have test anxiety, and always overstudy on things that are important. We are going to be doing IV therapy at some point in class, and we were told we would be practicing on each other. We also need to get malpractice insurance, anyone have any idea how much that runs? Thanks :heartbeat GOOD LUCK
  11. I am just starting my LPN program in January, and I am so proud that I got in. I can't wait to get started. I plan on going on to be an RN, but right now this is where I want to be. Nursing isn't for everyone, but being an LPN is an accomplishment . I love this site, it is so informative.
  12. Thank you very much, It has been a long wait. I am very happy you posted a response. I will let you know how the first day goes.
  13. Hi, I love this site. My class starts Jan.5, I am really nervous. I have 5 children and my youngest is 3,and my only daughter. I have been a stay at home mom for many years. I hope I can do this.
