  1. Good Morning gwenith, That would be from North Carolina, USA. I have a family member that has progressive headaches. After many long hours of research I have come to the conclusion it may well be hemaplegic migraines, all his symptoms fit . Now my question to you is : at birth 44 years ago he had spina bifidia, however mild it was there. There are no deficits as he has been perfectly normal through out his adult life, working in law enforcement and also a tour of combat in the military. Could there be a correlation between the two? Also can you direct me as to where I may find information other than just googling. I am an Infusion nurse and neuro is out of my field of expertise, but I am always willing to learn new things . Thanks in advance for any information or direction you may have . Mrsspdloader
  2. PIANISTRN, What is your background and where do you work now? Many states have local INS chapters with regular monthly meetings. These are excellent resources for networking and education . Try Googling "New Jersey Intravenous Nurses Society ". I have been an Infusion Nurse ( CRNI ) for many years, in home care and also acute care. It would be my pleasure to assist you in any way I can, infusion has been my love for many years. mrsspdloader
  3. JCS, I am new to this forum activity so please bear with me here. I saw your post about sales and marketing for an infusion company job. I have been there in the past . Just alittle info on me ; I have been an infusion acute care nurse for many years, with some time spent in home care. I have also ventured out to sales and marketing for a company. Will you be marketing pumps/equipment to hospitals or the clinical nurse to do the inservice when the change over occurs? The job can be very rewarding or it can be the challenge of a life time . The travel can be fun depending on where you go , but can also be gruelling if you are the educator and have to meet with ALL the staff on ALL the shifts . Approaching nurses with " new " ideas and equipment to learn to use in their already stressful lives can be challenging. The stressful part for me was moving from thinking clinical to dollars. My suggestion would be talk to other nurses in sales ! It is a different world and many of the reps are not nurses and have limited knowledge of the true application of the product . As with any new experience I took with me knowledge of the " other side " of nursing , I now participate in introducing new products to my hospital and staff education . But primarily provide direct patient care in the infusion aspect . Good luck ! mrsspdloader
