Is anyone applying to the DEMSN program at Sonoma State?
Hey touch, I hear you about the different prerequisites at each school. Ugh! I'm actually planning on taking a full semester of classes next fall just to be able to broaden the net I'm casting. Totally ridiculous! But, I know what I want to do. And the sooner I can get school over with, the cooler life is going to be. I actually work with the woman who's in the program now. She said that the the on-line portion is a lot of work but if your motivated, it can actually be more convenient because it cuts out all of the commuting to school. I believe there may be one day a week where you are actually on campus for school. Clinicals start very soon after you begin the program and her experiences with clinicals also sounded very cool. She said she felt good about taking the NCLEX this past December but wouldn't be taking it until this summer. It sounds like she's very prepared. She also gave me a much better understanding of what it is that a Clinical Nurse Leader actually does and what graduates of the program where going on to do. That hadn't been overly clear to me before but I'm begining to understand that a CNL isn't just a bedside nurse but is acutally someone who can work to change the way care is being delivered. I can't remember word for word what she had said but I do remember being very excited that I had applied following our conversation. Sooner or later it's gonna happen. Much much luck to you! Cheers, Ahn

Any UCSF Mepn Applicants?
Hey all, best of luck to all of you who'll be starting in a few months. I didn't make it the first time around but will be re-applying again this year. I've talked with a few applicants who seem to be very well qualified and have not gotten in or who have had to re-apply and re-apply. With such a well qualified group, I was wondering what it was that you all talked about in you letters of intent. Just curious. Cheers, Ahn

Is anyone applying to the DEMSN program at Sonoma State?
Hi everyone, I have also applied to the DEMSN. Looking forward to the interview notices being sent out. I've been trying like gang busters to become a student in a nursing progam for the past year. It's been a slow process. I've been talking with a student in last years DEMSN class and am very excited about what she's been talking about. This would be a great program to go through for many reasons. Best of luck to you all. Cheers, Ahn

Any UCSF Mepn Applicants?
hey y'all, i too am applying to the anp program at uc. when i finished my application and turned it in i had no idea that i'd be as interested in the outcome as i am. what will happen will happen, right? silly me. i've recently been finding myself standing in front of a calendar checking out just how many weeks/days there are left before the interview notices are sent. my wife has recently implemented a five minute per day time limit for my discussion of plan b's and what ifs. i've promised her that the next four days will be mepn free. oh the holy holiday that is thanksgiving. hope you all have a good one.
