  1. Thanks guys! I appreciate the feedback.
  2. So I am in a generalist graduate degree and am entering my last semester. Only problem is I'm still not sure what type of nursing I want to do!!! As of right now I'm leaning more toward Psychiatric nursing or OB nursing. However, I've been told that getting hired as a new grad in OB is pretty difficult. Anyone have any insight into areas of nursing and suggestions?
  3. I also applied to u of md...waiting as well. Hopefully we both get some good news out of that one!
  4. So I got my rejection letter . I'm so bummed that I didn't get in! I guess I'm going to be waiting to hear about the other schools I applied to. UUGGGHHHH!!!
  5. hi there yea pre-reqs are killer being all different from university to university. I'm applying for summer or fall 2009 depends on what university we're talking about here. I've applied to four schools so I'm praying one of them works out. Where did you apply to? Oh and thanks for the advice.
  6. Hi all, Well here is my question...I am a second degree student and have applied to several nursing programs. I am thinking positively, but what if I don't get into any of the programs? I need to have a backup plan. I don't really want to be stuck at my same job for another year. Is there any advice as to what I could do in the healthcare field? Maybe getting more experience and applying again next year? I currently have a B.S. in Business Administration but I do want to start more of a hands on career in healthcare. Any suggestions?
  7. yes it was very informal...no need to be nervous at all. She will basically just ask you questions like what made you pick johns hopkins, what made you choose your masters degree program, what you plan to do with it...those types of questions. Deff no need to be nervous. I felt very comfortable with the interview. Good luck!!!
  8. I had my interview yesterday for the ABSN-MSN. I think it went well but now I just have to pray that I get in. Congrats to everyone that has already. I just hope theres room for me now :)
  9. So I have my interview for the BSN/MSN accelerated option on Monday. Does anyone have any advice for me? I'm kind of nervous but so excited all at the same time. Does everyone get the interview or is it selective?
  10. I'm also a second degree student. I have applied to accelerated BSN programs nas well as Johns Hopkins for their BSN/MSN program. I do agree with what the other post said that if you know that you want to take more of a leadership role doing the direct MSN will save you some money and time. I'm waiting to hear from the schools I applied to so wish me luck and I wish you luck on whatever you decide too.
  11. I've applied to JHU as well. I'm looking forward to hearing back. I had some mix ups with my university that I was taking my pre-reqs at and got my application in just in time for the regular decision for the ABSN. Good luck to everyone!!
  12. Yea I've checked with the local community colleges...no such luck. And I would love to take the classes over winter break so it doesn't affect my class load in the spring. I already have a full load. Thanks and if you know of any schools that have courses during a winter semester send them my way!
  13. Help guys! I need to take 2 classes online. An ethics course and a Developmental Psychology course. Anyone know of any schools where I can take them online? Please guys...help me out here! Thanks!!
