That's awesome that your going to MCC too! It's nice to know others going in the same nursing program as you. Yeah I just read that we got our welcome packets so our schedule looks exactly like you described. PM me anytime, it would be really cool to know a handfull of other nursing students entering the NP with us.

Hey mxems! So I just got accepted to MCC's nursing program for fall 2009. I was wondering If you remembered when you recieved your information packets. Was it closer to orientation date or earlier?? Thanks for the schedule walk-through!:)

It's not a required for me either but I'm in it right now. I took it because I was waiting to get into the nursing program, it is required for ASU's nursing program (Bachelor's degree), and so far it's been very helpful! My class is taught by a Nurse in practice right now and It's covering alot of things that I haven't learned yet and refreshing my mind of things that I have. I would highly recommend taking it but If your on a tight budget and time frame then I guess you could just take what's needed for the nursing program your applying. Hope that helps:)

:)So is that 12 credits ?? So you have two classes and clinicals?? Is that right? Sorry I ask so many questions I'm just curious about how many classes I have to juggle w/clinicals. I have to work part-time while I'm in my first year of nursing school but I want to get an idea of how many hrs I should only work. Thanks for your help!

Can anyone tell me what classes you take for your first semster at MCC??? I've tried looking up the courses on the Maricopa website but the only class I find is Nursing Theory. What other classes do you take?? I'm going to Mesa Community College but I believe the classes are ther same for any Maricopa Community College RN Nursing Program. Thanks for any input!!

I got into my first choice a MCC. My date/time stamped was Oct. 22, 2007 8:05;31am. Off of the subject a little but does anyone know when you receive your information packets for the school?? I'm asking because my packet will be sent to my mailing address which is my parents address. So I'd like to give my folks a heads up to about when it will arrive. Also does anyone know what your first semester's classes will be??

Hey everyone! I just wanted to say Goodluck to everyone!! (Everyone should post If you get placed for tomorrow's 1st run and what school you were placed into. )

Well hopefully we're the only 2 w/MCC as their first choice....lol:chuckle (wishfull thinking) But no seriously I hope we are able to get one of our first two choices. jke230 what did you put as your 2nd choice?? I have scottsdale but I'm not sure if i'll get that either. Hopefully deffered indviduals wont be too much of something to worry about...I guess at least we are gettin placed!

Finally!! I hope we get our one of our top 3 choices. I'm worried about all those people who deffered! Do they get placed first?? Anyone know how that works?

Hey guys, I've been waiting since October 2007 and I'm still not placed yet. Most likely you wont get in this Fall unless you work or volunteer at an affiliated Hospital with maricopa, that usually gets you in faster. If you don't work/volunteer at one of the affiliated hospital then you are probably going to be placed next year either spring or fall. I have a friend that has an application date of December 2, 2007 and she's still waiting too. so there's plenty of people waiting before april 2008. --Hope that helps so you can plan your stuff you gota do:)

Ok I was hoping choices would go up today, since last semester they updated every Tuesday. but nothing yet. I think I'm getting impatient:selfbonk:.

Hey Everyone, I just recieved an email from a nursing advisor too said that we should be recieving an email real soon about choices being posted. I was hoping it would be today but next week is better than "a few more weeks". Hey jke530, That great, yeah my teacher is NP, she teaches at ASU's nursing program too, very funny/nice lady. You'll really like it over here everyone I've ever talked to here is friendly. I hope I get to stay here for nursing school. The only downside here is parking! Alot of people go here so sometimes it can get crowded but usually dies down towards spring break.

Hi Boogs Yeah I agree w/jke530, do you really want to wait another semester to get in? But If you really have to go, I would talk w/an advisor from the nursing department. Just to be sure If it's an issue to miss a week or not, and if not how much catching would it mean? I'm sure the two of you can work it out to some degree. This is a little off topic but when are we suppose to see our choice options for the fall??? They said the end of Feburary..well it's here and nothin so far. One of my classes right now ia Calculus and I'm so over taking it I just wanna start the nursing courses already:cry:
