  1. If it was not so cold in Milwaukee, I just might wanna work there!
  2. Good morning all!!! It is slightly above the high teens right now in beautiful N.E. Ohio. I want to move somewhere warmer, a little bit of cold weather and snow would be fine with me and would probably pacify my 5 & 7 year olds. Anyone know of such a place?
  3. All professional staff (RN/LPN) wear white. They liked to keep the ratio 2:1 but at times it can be 3:1. They try to keep the VADS 1:1 but CVVHD is usually paired up. There is not much there that is 1:1. Most of the Docs are ego centered no matter where you go. If you are tough skinned and knowledgeable in your area, you usually don't have too many problems.
  4. I worked at the main campus of CCF. Oops, no longer a foundation! I was there for 8yrs. It was a rough place to work, high patient acuity!! The sickest of the sick go there, the last chance for some patients! The parking is horiffic and expensive. I enjoyed my time there, but now its a time to move onward.

  6. Thank you for your response. Weight is a concern as are varicose veins. Both are being treated at this time. I am a critical care nurse, with most of my shift being spent on my feet. Age is a factor, but I can only wish time went backwards after the age of 40:bluecry1:. Have a great day.
  7. I was diagnosed with a DVT of the Right leg 2 weeks ago. I had leg pain for about 4 days, then finally could not tolerate the pain and discomfort I was having. I went from work to my primary physicians office (not the ED). He took one look at the leg sent me for a stat Ultrasound, and after confirmation by ultrasound, put me on 2 weeks of bedrest with bathroom priveleges, and place me on Lovenox injections twice a day for 7 days and coumadin daily. I have been checking my PT/inr weekly. My question: Is there anyone else out there that has developed DVT? Is this just one more thing that we as Nurses need to be concerned with? It's not just the back aches anymore. Kevin:crying2:
