  2. MY LVN UPDATE - AFTER A MONTH & A HALF FROM GETTING MY ACTUAL LICENSE IN THE MAIL: After all the job interviews, gazillion on-line job applications, faxing my resume to countless job openings with no success. As a new LVN graduate.... I found out the hard way that it was difficult to find an LVN job if you didn't have any prior experience in the medical field - your clinicals when you were in school doesn't count. I was so frustrated....most of the places I've applied for wanted LVN's with experience. Nevertheless....my determination finally resulted in me getting employed.....FINALLY. I am now working in as a charge nurse in a SNF (skilled nursing facility) part-time and full-time in a federal hospital as a med/surg nurse. My journey continues.......these are my first jobs as an LVN. Hopefully the next time I write here.... again (a year from now) is that I will be in an RN program..... All the best to everyone this year 2009!!!!! QUIET & CO.
