Start your immunizations early and make a check list after you go to your advising appt., start early! There is a ton of stuff with very specfic dates to turn stuff in. If you don't you will lose your spot. Good Luck JI'm in the Jan.09' class!!!

I did really bad on teas and scored 0 points but, since I had enough points on everything else I got in. Good luck!I hope you apply the day you take your teas cause' charity gets the scores faxed to them right after. Good Luck!

I wanted to help clear up how Charity does there point Applicant Review Form, I actually got a copy of mine when I went to Charity and the lady gave it to me to keep. This will help clear up any misinfo going around. I got in for Jan. YAY!! When I applied I DID NOT HAVE ANY AP's done to show b/c I was currently taking it when I applied. I am now finished with the exception of AP2 lec. cause the teacher I had was a real tool!! LOL I am retaking it this Jan while in Basics.YOU HAVE TO HAVE ALL LABS AND LECTS DONE BEFORE YOU GET INTO NAC 2 AT CHARITY. I have a really awesome lec. teacher at Delgado so I don't feel scared. I don't know what your doing now but, if you apply to Charity you will most likely get in. I DID NOT get in at first-I applied last Nov. for the spring 09' semester and got a rejection letter in June. I only passed my TEAS test by 2 points and my average is fair- mostly C's. THE DAY I got my letter I drove to Charity to find out why I didn't get in and she said that they stopped taking people who scored below a 35 on the "point scale". X said I scored a 34.5!! She put me on a "wait/hold" list and I called and emailed (basically stalked) her at least 6 times over the past few months. I got in!! She called me a week before this semester started- my point is BE PERSISTANT! Good Luck! By the way, you get a WHOLE EXTRA 10pts. if you have your bachleor's degree and and extra 10pts. if you are finished ALL A&P's and Micro. She showed me the point scale and how it works.

Hi, I'm starting Charity in Jan. too! I'm so excited, but also a bit nervous. I did hear from several nursing students in NAC 2 that EJ was the best place for basics. I live in Kenner so it's also close. I was going to choose University, but have heard some things about the teacher there from a student in basics there now. I'm just afraid that I will pick EJ and then they will give me Slidell Mem. it happended to a friend this Fall. She was so upset becasue she lives in Met. The good thing is that we are only in the Hospital a handful of times because it's basics- my friend has only been 3x since the semester-you spend most of your time in the Simulator Lab on Campus. :nuke: Good Luck!
