For the first question, in the DFW they make the same rate. The town I came from though paid those with a BSN $0.50/hr more. So not really a big difference. I don't know about those with experience though.

I am starting work soon and the base pay for most hospitals is between $21-$25, Parkland being the highest paid. This doesn't include night and weekend differentials, and starting out as a new GN you'll probably be working nights. So working weekends and night you can make $30+/hr.

I'm waiting to hear back from Harris in Fort Worth. There was a totally different vibe from them and Parkland, and I really think I liked Parkland better. The only drawbacks are that it's in Dallas which means the traffic is horrible and trying to find a decent place to live that isn't too far away. Thanks for username!

I recently was offered a job at Parkland Hospital in Dallas in the NICU and was wondering if anyone had any information about the hospital, how they treat the staff, where to live around Dallas, etc. I am from Arlington so I know the area but don't know anyone who has worked there to get advice from. Any information would be appreciated!
