  1. Hi! I have been an inactive nurse for almost 8 years now. The last time I worked was in Oct. 2008. Since then, I worked in a call center. I want to work again as a nurse here in the Philippines. Any idea in which hospital/university here in Metro Manila where they offer nursing refresher course/nurse re-entry program and when they will be the start of training? Please send me a comment or you may send your personal message to me. Thank you.
  2. Hello, fellow nurses! One of the requirements to register at Michigan BON to take the NCLEX-RN exam is a request for a fingerprint card. Since I'm here in the Philippines, a friend told me that I can request it at NBI. I have some questions regarding this process: 1. In which branch of NBI where will proceed to request for a fingerprint card? 2. Once I visit the specific NBI branch, what will be the process, what requirements or things will I bring, and what fees will be collected? 3. How long the process will take and how long when can I claim the fingerprint card? Please help me, my fellow Filipino nurses, especially who have recently applied for licensure by examination in their preferred US states that require a request for a fingerprint card. Also, please answer my questions seriously because I'm planning to visit the NBI branch you will mention this Friday. You may reply on this thread or PM me. P.S. I live in Las Piñas City, Philippines.:?(
  3. How long have you been called for the PSB? What are the usual questions they ask? I haven't received their call yet since the selecom last Sept.19.
  4. @all who have replied: thanks to all who responded to my problem. I'm planning to take it by first quarter of next year. I'm still on the stage of saving some money in my salary. Hehehe. I'm almost halfway in my savings. Wish u luck for all who will be taking from sept.-dec.2011.
  5. Correction please: Please look at chapter 48, page 547.Thanks.
  6. Hi! I NEED YOUR HELP! I am having trouble in reading one of the sentence in my copy. The words are very faded and very difficult to read. Please turn your books on chapter 47, page 547. Please look at the first part, in the one with an exclamation mark inside the triangle. Please give me the exact word per word of this sentence/fill in the blanks: "Isolate _____________________________ who have immunosupressive disorders from a child with a communicable disease." I am hoping for your prompt reply. Thanks.
  7. @ knight121888: unfortunately,i didn't show up on the day of the interview because i got sore eyes.well, they told me that they will reschedule me for an interview.if ur asking when, well, the answer is i dunno.my mom said, they will call if they want me to call.so if it's not mine, well it's not mine.that's life.
  8. Hi,everyone! I received a text that I will be having an interview in OSMAK Pembo. However,I'm not sure if it's May 2 or 3 is my schedule. Does anyone know if it's May 2 or 3? If you also received the same text as mine, well good luck to all of us and hope we work together.
  9. Just a question: is the 4th edition of Saunders Comprehensive Review still updated? Because, what I have here is the 4th ed.in which I borrowed it through a friend and I am thinking of buying the 5th ed. And for those who have purchased already the 5th edition, what are the changes they have made in the 5th?
  10. Thanks for the tips! Looking forward to receiving more tips soon.
  11. Hi!Just a question: how did you start using the Saunders CD? Because there is a study mode, review mode, quiz and exam mode there. Can you give some strategies? I am only using Saunders book and CD only. Thanks.
  12. This is the question I would like to raise for those who passed the nclex using only saunder comprehensive book and its cd. I attempted to answer 100 questions/day in its exam modebut i got exhausted because the cd keeps on sending questions that I answered before. I would be more than happy to accept your suggestions.
  13. well im using saunders 4th edition.i also bought 28 in 1 cd outside prc.
  14. just to clarify.i am not yet a US RN but i passed the nursing board exams here in the philippines last 2007.and im planning to retake nclex next year because i failed lst march.
  15. Hi!I'm currently working in a call center. I have been an RN since 2007.I failed the nclex once and I don't want to happen it again.I was approved by Vermont BON for a retake but still I'm trying to spend some tie to review. However, whenever I'm home i devoteted much time on taking some rest because my work is kinda stressful. I decided to create a thread because I need your suggestions, especially for all the nurses who are preparing for NCLEX-RN while on duty, either in the hospitals or call centers.Howw much time do you devote on reviewing?Any suggested time skeds?I am expecting for your reply.Right now,my shift is 10pm-7am and my restdays are sundays and mondays only.Thanks.
  16. Hello!I'm a registered nurse but i'm currently working as a call center agent in Manila.Last March 2009,i took my NCLEX-RN exam but i failed probably because of some problems here at home. Now,I filed my application to Vermont Board of Nursing and they approved my application yesterday. The reason I posted a new thread is because i need help to those who are working and currently reviewing for their nclex.how do you manage your time in studying while you are working?Same also that i need help to those who passed nclex and were in my situation before, meaning reviewing while working.
  17. I have this question:how long have you waited for your results in Vermont released, whether you passed or failed? I've checked their website and it says that examinees must wait at least 5-7 working days after taking the exam. I took the NCLEX-RN exam last March 16 here in the Philippines and until this very moment, I havent seen my name on their verification for license nor a remark from their "Application Status" on their website. And I think and I feel that I flunked the exam. By the way, I didnt avail Pearson's quick results because it is important to me to know the official results than the unofficial one. I am hoping for your response. Thanks.
  18. Hi! May I ask if anyone of you have applied already in National Center for Mental Health in Mandaluyong City? If yes, how was it? And may I know the requirements? It is so hard to find a job nowadays in major hospitals if I'm going to apply as a ward, ER, OR nurse etc. Maybe I will try psychiatric nursing. Besides, it was my favorite subject when I was studying Nursing.
  19. hi!Can you please post here or pm to me what are those requirements that you have submitted in makati med's cetn?Thank you.
  20. you may also pm me regarding requiremnts for cetn.thanks.
  21. hi!where can i find the list of requirements for cetn?i've checked mmc website.however, they dont have the list there.thanks.
  22. do they reply if you submit your resume via e-mail?
