  1. I use my nursing lab for peds because the professor required it for chapters that we aren't covering in class. So far, its a waste of time. you take pre tests and they tell you what you need to work on but the questions are very dry. It is hard to grasp what they are asking. My classmates feel its a waste too
  2. I must reply because I now have 3 semesters left until I finish with a BSN. I also worked fulltime and went to school part-time until this semester when I had to take 14 credits. I have financial issues too. You may be able to go part-time while working but you really need to be big on self-discipline. And be prepared, it feels like it takes forever. You should really look into private student loans. I didn't find out about these until last semester and wish I knew of them sooner. They can help pay for your rent, transportation, and food while your in school. Just google private student loans. I will tell you the interest rates vary; but, if it gets you making a nurse's salary quicker, its worth it. Good Luck!!
  3. I am a senior in a BSN program and found practicing NCLEX questions definitly help. Buy some NCLEX books with questions, answers, and rationales. Before getting tested on the subject, review some questions on the material. It is kinda fun to quiz yourself and most texts give a good explaination of why, if you were wrong. They will help you take what you learned and apply it to situations. Practice makes perfect!
