  1. I'm in the same boat, I don't know what to do. I just got a bill from excelsior for $800 for a yearly fee. My plan was to pay as I go but it hasn't worked, I haven't taken one exam. My hours at work were cut so I have no extra money. My husband thinks it's silly for me to pay this bill if I'm not going to take the exams but I have to do this to further my career. I've already payed this school $2000 for something that I later found out I could have payed after I was done doing all the exams. Ahhhhh!
  2. My next question is do you think it's better to do the nursing classes first or the pre-req. I seem to need a lot of pre-req. I can really only afford to do one class/exam at a time as I'm paying as I go.
  3. I am SO confused!!! I got my evaluation back and the first thing I did was enroll and pay the $875. Was that wrong? I've been paying it in monthly payments and now that that's payed off, I was going to start a class/exam. Do I order the books and start studying? Do I need all the books it says I do? I'm so confused??? Thanks ladies.
  4. So, do you do your preceptorship after you complete the course and graduate? My other question is does it have to be at a hospital? I work in a school now and I'm not planning on leaving and I work at the school during the day so I'm trying to figure out how I would do that. But i guess from my understand, wether I did it online or at a local university, I would have to do it????
  5. I'm looking to start EC and I live in KY. Just wondering if there is anything special I need to do. I'm pretty sure they accept EC but other than that, i thought I read they require 120 hrs of preceptorship. Has anyone from KY completed this program?
  6. I'm looking into doing the EC thing also and I'm kinda overwhelmed by all this. Can anyone give me a ball park figure as to how much I'll be spending after it's all over? Can I get a loan? I'm so confused of where to start.
