  1. You know I have had several different jobs in the last 20 years and have found that ANYWHERE one works...the same BS happens..gossip, negativity...BS..doesn't matter what field..retail, sales, healthcare, insurance, teaching. SO good luck in finding an area that you will NOT find any of what is discouraging you from pursuing what was once your big interest. It seems that you haven't checked this board out enoguh to find all the positive and supportive nurses and posts. Keep searching..you'll find loads of them!! Good Luck in your search!:)
  2. :) Hi there...I looked up Hospitals in Melbourne, Florida on Google and came up with a list: Look into this list further and I bet that you will gain the information you are looking for! Good Luck! Local Hospitals and Medical Facilities Wuesthoff Hospital (321) 636-2211 Holmes Regional Medical Center (321) 727-7000 Cape Canaveral Hospital (321) 799-7111 Palm Bay Community Hospital (321) 722-8000 Brevard V.A. Outpatient Facility (321) 637-3510
  3. Hi Ninatobella- I would look into a Nursing Home type of CNA course..in my area of New England...many NH's offer the course for free or a minimal amt. of $ and then upon graduation..you have a job with them. You still learn a great deal being a CNA at a LTC facility and while you work part-time you could start those pre-reqs. Good Luck!
  4. Why in the world would she let that guy go out for a smoke if a urine sample was to be taken? He couldn't wait a few minutes? If you ask me...that should have been addressed to the patient.."Mr. SOand So, the policy is that we need to get a urine sample from you before you step out that door..otherwise I cannot not give you your treatment today because I would get in huge trouble for not following procedure" Of course this is said in a non-threatening , matter-of-factly, non-condescending type of way.
