  1. Sorry, last post I made was for Equsmom...Thanks!
  2. Hello ! I was wondering how school was going for you. I will be starting Kaplan Vista in February . I am seasoned as well (42). I have researched all options and your post is right on. All of your information is correct as I got the same. It all comes down to the Lvn nclex. There is so many bridge courses Lvn-Rn that accept Kaplan students the only one I found that does not is San Marcos State. I would love to hear about your experience thus far. Thankyou!
  3. Okay, I took the TEAS test about a year ago and failed it by 5 pts! (I had a grandmother dying and math got me also!) I have taken all the steps to retake it. So this Monday I am going to take it again. I have put it off all this time because here is my problem..I have TEST ANXIETY so bad because I failed the 1st time! I keep on thinking that I have taken all these classes and was on a 4 yr waiting list for nothing if I do not pass! So what I am asking is has anyone else had the same Test Anxiety and please give me some advice because I am a wreck here! Thankyou!
  4. Hi Audrey! Sorry I haven't got back to you. I had to bypass until fall. My Grandmother was very ill and I wasn't sure how long she would need me. She passed away sooner than I thought. How is it going? Going crazy yet? Let me know! Thanks for thinking of me.
  5. Thankyou so much! I am sure that they provide you with scratch paper..right?! I am very nervous about the math section. Are you usually good at math? Do you remember how long you have for each section? Test is tommorrow!
  6. Thankyou for all of your input! I will be taking the TEAS test this Monday! I am very nervous about this test! I was accepted this fall to a ADN Nursing program. This is the last test that you can take before entering. How much time do you have for each timed section? Should I brush up on the periodic table? Thankyou! Just a little stressed out!
  7. Audrey, I hope that Orientation was very informative. I wanted to get your input about it. I was disappointed that I was unable to attend. Sorry that I haven't replied sooner to your post. I was also curious about Palomar's TEAS test. Is it computerized or pencil/paper? Do you find out your score right away? Thankyou! Timeri :uhoh21:
  8. It will be 3 years on the waitlist by the time I start in January. I will be two weeks shy of turning 41 when school starts... so your not the only older one! I think that our age will work for us instead of against us. Have you been working in the field?
  9. I was curious about the TEAS Test. I will be taking the test on Nov 3. I was accepted into the Nursing Program in the spring of 09' at Palomar College in California (Pending passing the TEAS!). I know everyone is different at test taking, but I thought that I would get some opinions about it. I have the ATI study guide and was thinking about buying the on-line practice test. Would the test be worth buying? Help! I have been putting this test off because of people telling me how hard it is!
  10. I am so glad to see future Palomar College students! I will be starting Spring 09' also. I am scheduled for my TEAS Exam on Nov 3. I have put this test off for awhile because people have said that it is very hard. Any truth to that? I know everyone is different at test taking , but thought I would get your opinion anyways. I am glad to see other students with children going through this course! I thought that I was the only crazy one!
