Grand canyon university, shady school!
That's exactly my point. As a student, I won't recommend this school for graduate nurse program. The only have 7 states approved for clinical sites. So if you moved. you are screwed!

Grand canyon university, shady school!
I would like to hear about your experience with this school. I cam currently in their ANP program can can't wait to transfer out. I believe this is the shadiest school of all time!!. It is impossible to get through a live person besides your counselor. The main school phonenumber is no use. You might as well get call you counselor for everything. How does a school get by without having a department number.??

You make the decisions on YOUR shift and I'll make the decisions on MINE
I don't understand why you cannot give a pt morphine if the po pain med did not work. You shouldcontrol the pt's pain. It is all nursing judgements and experience. The truth of the matter is that pain is what the pt say it is but at the same time you should be looking at the pt's age, dx, and hx. I have seen where a pt pain was not managed and the nurse just kept giving all the pain meds available to the pt and the last dose that made the pt comfortable was the dose called for narcan. Like I said the pt's dx, hx, and age should come in to place, and pt education is important. Some patients will be patient when you tell them you gonna have to wait to get pain med cause " your bp is 80/39 and HR is 59, and you want them to be still breathing. The thing is start low, go slow. If the md ordered 20 -40 oxy prn and this is the first dose it will still be a good nursing judgement to give the pt 20 oxy first instead then addid anothe 20 instead of giving 40mg just because the pt pain is a 10/10 .

Travel nursing pay...
ok. it's all good. It just sounded like when someone tells you" figure it out" after u try to ask for an opinion. I guess i just get tired of people who sometimes say exactly what is on their mind and end it with " just kidding.." But thanks..

Travel Nursing
Thank you all. I am a RN with about 3 12/ yr experience and looking to make more money.Comparing with my pay now, Its about 6 dollars more per hr. Never done travel nursing. The company staff Nurses in different areas and i was told each place you go with have different pay scale. Which i understand. This offer is in NJ, Camden by flexcare. I currently work in FL. The 822. 95 would be for housing, meal and incidental and if i wanted Car rental, It will be abt 622$ . honestly i feel like i am being duped. It appears very low than what i was expecting. The companies i have been talking to are offering something around the same amount for NJ. I am looking to start NJ then CA. I know Cali will probably be more but if I am not given a fair amount now I wont get it later. Thanks for any input.
