  1. Okay I understand how to do a blood pressure but am very confused on the one step blood pressure. are you pumping up the cuff and listening till you hear the first pulse beat then pump 30 mmHg above that number. I understand the two step where you find the radial pulse pump up the cuff till you can no longer feel the pulse open valve deflate the cuff find the brachial pulse and pump cuff till it is 30 mmHg above the estimated systolic reading. I am so worried that when I take my state test that I will have blood pressure and fail. Are you asked to do the two step method or do you have to do the one step at the state test? Thanks for any help
  2. Congratulations. I am just finishing up my second week of class and it is pretty intense. We have had tests on 8 chapters already. I was also glad find out I was not the oldest one there.
  3. If I am accepted into this program I will need to work while doing this. I will probably work 28 hrs a week. Six hrs Tuesday through Friday and 4 hrs on Saturday. My class is Monday through Friday for 4 hrs. The class is 6 or 8 weeks long. I guess I am worried about how much studying thier will be it has been along time since I have been in school. Thank you for any advice anyone has.
  4. I am nervous and excited I have a interview for a CNA program on Tuesday the program will start on the 20th if I am accepted. I am in the process of switching careers currently I am a hair stylist. I plan on enrolling in a LPN program that will began in May. I meet with the college advisor for that on Monday. I think that becoming a CNA first will really be helpful to me in my LPN course. I have been out of school for quite a few years so this is very scarey for me. I worried about leaving my old job I respect and enjoy working for my current boss but this is a change that will be a positive benifit for my family and I know by working as a CNA I help out someone who is in need.
